We were lucky to capture a snap of this beautiful mountain from Arunachal Pradesh, on our way to Mandala Top or 108 Mandala Top. The locations called as 108 Mandala top because its comprises with 108 holy Manes/Stupas. It is in 10,000 ft. above the sea level and in the winter it receives snowfall too. One can observe Yaks roaming in the mountains for food and the Respected Buddhist Monpas wearing the holy dress. Do visit some for more vibe. Jaivan is beleived to be the largest cannon in the #world .Pulled by elephants and ropes. It can be rotated on a robust four-wheeled carriage. With an 8feet screw to elevate the barrel. Over 100 Kilos of gunpowder was needed to fire the Jaivan and marks on the bore, through which a 50Kilo cannonball is fired indicates it was fired more than once. The gun's recoil is about 4feet. The Jaivan is beautifully decorated with auspicious symbols: elephants and peacocks. A lotus motifs frames the mouth of the barrel and floral motifs and patterns decorates the length, ending with a pair of birds at the back. The carriage and canopy was added in the 19th Century by Sawai Ram Singh II. While the cannon itself cast in 1720 at the gun-foundry of Jaigarh which you cam visit.
