Project post! Aside from the kitchen remodel, we have what feels like 100 other projects going on. We are moving the herb garden, making a fence for it, planting + transplanting, Extending the veggie garden, making a fence, planting. A flower garden too... clearing, planting, and making/clearing a pasture. In our free time 😂 we are working on our office and loft, closet building, drywalling, bathroom remodel, additions to the house, greenhouse, and a new barn. This is our garage which we are turning into a shala/studio/education center. We will offer yoga and various other classes here on gardening, cooking, foraging, soap making, herbal medicine making, and more. All for free/donations. We have BIG dreams + goals this year. 😂🌸💗🍃🌲🌿✨

The kitchen remodel is making big strides! We've finished the upper cabinets and this very large cabinet (which makes our fridge look teeny tiny) and we are starting on the bottom and countertop! I'm soooooo ready to have a functional kitchen!!!! All the cabinets were salvaged from a home that was being torn down. Cabinets are 1970s era. I've cleaned, painted, sanded, and sealed them and cleaned the hardware. Jerry has installed shelves, fixed, and carried them all. So far, we have spent $40 on our new kitchen! That was on polycrylic and drywall mounts. One more month of living in chaos... I can do this. 🙏💕💛🍹

The universe has been sending me messages To slow down. That it is not the right time. That not everything needs saving And not by my hands. It is a lesson I've learned And relearned. That in order to serve others, I must help myself first. And it feels like a knife piercing through my soul. Gut-wrenching. It cuts deep into everything I feel And have fought for. But I trust it. I know. And deeper than I know, I am exhausted. • • • The time will come. And I will keep working. Vigorously. But for now, I have to refocus on my own sanity, Health, and well-being. Some things just aren't meant to be... Right now. • • • And that is the most difficult lesson of all. 🥀🖤✨

Do you feeling like there is more to know, to be, to... well... feel. I know this all too well. A lot of us do. At a cellular level we are connected to every living organism on Earth. That is not just something your cells can forget. When we surround ourselves with cement and screens and go about our day to day like zombies, we shut off an inherent part of ourselves. We begin to close the gates of our perception and feeling and narrow our sights. Some may have a longing for nature that feels like an emptiness or unexplainable void. So many fill that void with numbing agents. Food, alcohol, pharmaceuticals... what have you. But it doesn't go away. We connect with everything around us. And then some. Our hearts create energy fields and those energy fields extend into the world touching everything. We pick up on the energy of the things around us. Plants, trees, nature, dirt. It is soothing, welcoming, comforting, peaceful energy. That is just one of so many ways that nature eases us. She helps us see deeper into our intended path. Understand our connectivity. Feel our purpose. We fill that void that cities and work leave in our soul. We come home. And it's not easy. And it takes time. I am still failing everyday. But with every failure comes a lesson and a success. However small. And although it's glorified through photos, it's painful. We are broke as shit, dirty, exhausted, and hungry. But oh so full in so many ways. 🌼💛🌱✨🍃💕
