Jasperâs eyes narrowed slightly. âNot having what it takes to rule and wanting the crown are two different things. What if one of them is interested in taking the throne?â Trust wasnât something that came easily to Jas. Though he loved Sylvia, he didnât know her sisters well enough to believe that neither of them would try to steal what was rightfully Sylviaâs. âI have a few ideas on who they might be, but Iâve been trying to find the source of the problem, not just the people passing on the rumors.â Jas held Sylviaâs hands and tugged to try and pull her to her feet. Back up toward the bed, he frowned. âArenât you concerned about your sisters?â
Sylvia shook her head. âThatâs not an issue, neither of my sisters would betray me.â She stated simply, it wasnât even a possibility in her mind. Sure, they had their squabbles from time to time, but they loved her, and she knew that when it came down to it, theyâd support her. âWell, I trust you to find them. Youâll let me know when I need to be involved?â She let him tug her to her feet, following him towards the bed. âShould I be? I donât think theyâll go along with any of these schemes.â
