Wildfire

While the storm rages on outside, the silence in this room is deafening.

It seems like my whole body knows a storm was coming. The shivers and the uneasy breaths the double checking to make sure.

While the storm rages on outside, I wish I could bury my face in the crook of your neck. For I fear storms. Feel the soft caress of your hands against my skin, soothing my worries.

While the storm rages on outside I wish I was able to listen to your heartbeat, and feel the warmth emitting from your body.

While the storm rages on outside, the spot next to me is empty and cold.

We were two matches set aflame. So passionate and carnal burned right through our core.

Kisses and touches, gasps and gazes were our language that one one else understood.

But our fire burned to bright, to fast, did not last.

Wildfire like ours burned right through us. Leaving only ash in it's trail.

And though we burned, the scar will always be a reminder of that careless love we had, for we weren't afraid of the fire...

Death comes to the best of us, we turn to dust an are taken by the northern winds. Death comes to the best of us, we become part of the flowers in the prairies,the leaves on the trees, the birds in the sky. But like the leaves on the trees, they have to fall eventually. We become orange, or red,yellow or brown, and when the time is right, we say our goodbyes and we simply fall.

Sometimes we don't have a chance to say goodbye, and we fall to soon, taken by the wind. When that happens we leave slot of people behind, the people we made a thousand memories, thousands of laughs. We leave the people we love the most.

Death comes to the best of us, nd i don't know how or why they have to leave so soon, some young, some old, but they have to leave it written in the books they say. But the lump in my throat says otherwise.

Give me those books that I'll rewrite them. Let me scream with waterfalls cascading down the mountains that are my cheeks, to the one who create these books.

Tell them: "I had so much more to do, to say,to laugh, to cry to remember memories so old we forgot. To hold them, and tell them they are loved".

Death comes to the best of us, but the little time we have between life and the after life, we must enjoy them,no matter how hard it can be, no matter how much the air refuses to go to your lungs, no matter how much you want to hold them in your arms a tad longer.

Enjoy the time you have with them no matter how short or long the time is

When the last grain of sand of that hourglass falls, be glad and grateful of the time you had, and may you meet again...

It comes in waves? that's an understatement,because for me it comes like a tsunami ready to swallow me whole, looking straight at my eyes, saying just let go.

I braze myself for the impact I hold on as tightly as i can, only to be ripped off from where I stood.

"It comes in waves"they said, but this is a whole ocean i think to myself as I'm thrown through the current of rapid emotions to fast for my mind to comprehend, different voices,faces,places.

Struggling for a simple breath, to tear through the water surface and catch my breath. But the water has me clasp in it's deadly sweet embrace, whispering sweet nothings, wanting me to stay.

Sometimes i want to stay.... I really do.

But as fast as it came it went. And i was left panting for air, for my lungs to catch there breath before the next tsunami came around.

"It comes in waves they say" i repeat to myself as to convince myself that one day it won't swallow me whole and they will be simply just be waves....
