“That shouldn’t be too hard for you, then.” Truth be told Anika didn’t care if he would have to spend the entire day searching out the perfect artwork to write about. The entire day with Wilder to herself was everything that she needed, everything that she had been craving for quite some time. So long as she could keep him company Wilder could take all the time in the world. A smile stretched from ear-to-ear at the gentle kiss to her hand, Anika squeezing his fingers between her own as she let her attention drift to the art. There always was something about being surrounded by beautiful creations that lifted her heart and soul, to the point where she felt like she was on cloud nine. Being with Wilder only enhanced the sensation, and as she stepped closer to him, wanting to be as close as possible while she still could, his comment nearly made her double-take. “You want me to be your model.” She fought off a laugh, though there was excitement in her eyes at the prospect of ‘modeling’ for him. “This isn’t a nude deal, is it?” The corner of her mouth peeked upward in an amused smile. “Are you going to draw me like one of your French girls?”
“I guess. It’s just not very creative.” He complained. It was true that the assignment wasn’t hard by any measure. Even for someone who art wasn’t their passion. His annoyance was simply that he’d done this project in every art class he’d ever been in. Even the one he took as a child. Still though the whole thing was worth it to get to spend the day with Anika. Wilder was sure he’d do just about anything to get to spend time with her. With a shake of his head he laughed at her quip. “I certainly wouldn’t stop you if you wanted to be nude. But no, it’s not that kind of deal. At least I don’t think so yet anyways. I haven’t quite decided but I think I’m going to do a hand study. Could maybe have them doing erotic things.” He wiggled his eye brows at the suggestion. “Or just draw them doing everyday things.” He continued with a shrug. Giving her hand a squeeze they continued on through the exhibit, looking for anything that really caught his eye. “Really though I want to draw you for our final project that’s due at the end of the semester. An impressionist piece of someone I know.” Wilder quoted the assignment.
