In my HC, their relationship - while not sexual - is definitely physical. After eventually assuring himself that Ishta's touch is different from what he's used to, Astarion will now very often drape himself over her back and shoulders while she's reading or sharpening her weapons. He just likes to feel her warmth against his skin. 🥹

Ishta has one nerve left and these guys are already snapping it 🤣

At least they're out of the Underdark. That's progress... right?

You can't 'fix' a broken soul, only give them the tools to do it themselves, and hope they want to use them.

Patience is needed when dealing with wild things. And at least one free hand...😄
