The Hidden Pandemic
in 2020, a virus from china spread across the world, killing hundreds of thousands of people. it spanned three years in totality and smashed the economy in a way the world wont, or at least shouldn't forget. But it's affects still linger upon us, the pandemic was timed at such a mind bogglingly perfect time that it can be traced to the lower intelligence of the newer generations, TikTok , the deletion of vine, Next generation consoles, the derealisation caused by isolation, the world so suddenly became hyper connected, but isolated, the news spouting death counts and fear, BLM, AAPI, so much more hate and pain and tragedy, some of us have lost a son or a father, a loved one or a lover, and we felt so helpless, dopamine hits from doomscrolling numbed our brains to actually enjoyable life experiences, and even after the pandemic was controlled, the doomscrolling, the numbed experiences. This is not a "in a few moments ill show you.." post, its a log, one of a nightmare, so bloody and broken you can't possibly believe it's real. But denying the blood and the pain is what caused the derealisation, the doomscrolling, the death. Humans are here on this planet for one reason and one reason only, to gain knowledge and spread it. The christian faith tells us Adam and Eve upon eating the fruit had opened their eyes and saw they were naked, the lost the endless repository of information that god had bestowed upon them and they had to learn, research and toil, their fields had to be watered and plowed, and they had to shed blood, sweat and tears just to die soon after, but not before bestowing their small glimpse of life to their children and their children and their children, we can't DO anything but die, but our words will linger forever. Yes we did do those horrible things. Yes we did numb ourselves. But NO we DID try, we tried and tried and in the end, after all our losses we are triumphant, so if you are on your ASS all the goddamn time and you don't TRY? you aren’t any more useful than Keemstar telling you about the newest scandal.
