With the idea that trauma stretches time, it would make sense for these final two tumultuous months in the wilderness to unfold slowly across most of the season—if done right. We've already seen this concept at play: Season 2 spanned only a few brutal months of winter, but the emotional weight and intensity of their survival made it feel dense and drawn out. In contrast, Season 3 moved through spring, summer, fall, and into early winter at a much quicker pace, reflecting a period of relative peace and stability for the group in the warmer months. The rhythm of the show mirrors their psychological state—when trauma is high, time drags; when things are calmer, it flies.
