“No, no this isn’t real! She’s already gone!” Epsilon was trying to convince himself that this wasn’t real. He just sank to his knees with his head to the floor, cowering there.
“Epsilon, there you are, what the hell is going on?!” She turned to look at him. She knew none of this was real, but it still pained her greatly to see everyone die in front of her. Everyone she cared about. “Get me out of here Epsilon, how do we get out?” She thought it was the real Epsilon.
“Don’t say goodbye.” A soft female voice whispered to Epsilon, fast fading. “I hate goodbyes.”
“Prep the AI unit.” The male voice spoke again. “He’s breaking.”
Meanwhile, with Carolina, the illusion Epsilon spoke to her.
“I can’t Carolina. You keep pushing me too hard!” He shouted despairingly at her. “You can’t save us without me, and I can’t... go on like this....”
He shattered into a million shards of light, fading from view.
“Carolina!” It was Tucker. “You have to help us! Wash is down!” He gestured to a now injured Wash, who was bleeding out. “I dunno how much longer we’ll last!”
“Carolina!” Sarge’s gruff voice interjected. “My men and the Chorus armies are pinned down. If you don’t help us, we’ll lose this war!”
