Professional ghostwriter/Professional editor; I write and edit romance novels for clients. I've also started self-publishing under my own pennames.
Sideblog for writing/whump stuff! My main is @jeyuwuso
My favorite whump tropes include conditioning, Stockholm syndrome, pet whump, carewhumper, and intimate whump. I also love the comfort side of hurt/comfort, be it toxic or fluffy
I write a lot of NSFWhump, but I'll always tag it with both #nsfwhump and #nsft
I write about people getting sad and fucking about it, mostly
My mom once said I treat boys like kittens and no one has ever called me out so brutally before or since
OCs below the cut!
Gladwell & Hart: A ghostly private eye and a hapless medium make an unlikely crime-solving duo, and, eventually, an even unlikelier couple.
Harry Gladwell: He/they. Died at 29. Holocaust survivor. The ghost of a private eye from the late 1950s. He's stuck in the living realm until he solves his own murder. A snarky grump with a heart of gold, he's blunt and distrustful of the living, but he's always willing to help a fellow ghost in need.
Jared Hart: He/him. 32. A stoner psychic medium struggling to pay off his debts by opening a small business in Detroit. He created a semi-popular web comic, but abandoned it after a mental breakdown. Perpetually anxious with low self-esteem, he's loyal and empathetic to a fault.
RCW Romance: A romance series centered around the drama of the pro wrestling world. I know a lot of people aren't into wrestling OR romance novels lol, but I love these characters enough to write AUs of them too.
Asher Williams: He/him. 30. A bratty asshole raised by neglectful addicts, he lives to pick fights with anyone and everyone. He only likes about three people. He's hardheaded and rude, but he's also smart, honest, and protective of his loved ones. Dating Dean. Summer's best friend.
Dean Jones: He/him. 31. Charismatic, charming, and handsome, everyone sees him as a classic all-American hero. Secretly, he struggles with intense anxiety and struggles to get close to people. His kindness can make him a bit of a doormat. Dating Asher.
Summer Singh: He/him. 30. Having grown up living a nomadic lifestyle with New Age parents, he makes friends fast and loves being the center of attention. Though he can be careless and selfish - even childish - he's loving, genuine, and always looking to make other people happy. Dating Harlow and Io. Asher's best friend.
Harlow Cooper: He/him. 29. After a youth filled with abuse from both family and partners, he doesn't trust easily. Under an abrasive (and occasionally violently explosive) shell, he's a sensitive, artistic dreamer. Once someone earns his loyalty, they have it forever. Though he often lashes out, it's either due to fear or hurt. Dating Summer and Io.
Iokua "Io" Matua: He/him. 31. His gangbanger brother took the fall for him when he shot and killed their abusive father. Io spends his time trying to free his brother and make his sacrifice worth it. He's stoic, disciplined, honest, and understanding. He feels a deep responsibility to care for his loved ones. Dating Summer and Harlow.
(There are others, but these are the ones I'm most excited about)

must a fictional relationship be “healthy” or “functional”? is it not enough to simply watch two made up people destroy each other, hand in unlovable hand???
idk, what is wrong with me? i’m in a healthy and stable relationship with a great partner, i’ve had lots of therapy that has helped me establish strong boundaries and recognize red flags, and i have an active social life and fulfilling career. could it be that i just… like to read books and watch movies and tv shows about dysfunctional people??? you tell me, tumblr user girlcreator!
You’re a bourgeois degenerate who wants to see shitty despicable & violent relationships for your disgusting sense of entertainment— and you should feel fucking ashamed of yourself.
I agree with @girlcreator but I definitely know there’s something wrong with you. People like you are a huge red flag to me. Bad vibes, for sure.

The whumper would abandon the whumpee for long periods of time, depriving them of any human interaction and barely giving them the bare necessities. The whumpee didn’t mind at first, but hated how they were quickly growing desperate for that interaction.
To say the whump community hates women characters is so cynical and unfair. Have you considered most of us are women and just not interested in hurting our own? like congrats if that's your deal, but let's not act like there's misogyny at play here.
So being a fellow female survivor of assault, why is it that we have separate tags for lady whump stuff? "Well, because women in DV situations can be too close to home", extremely fair point, I can more than sympathize with that. But then why don't we have an unspoken-rule-type tag for male whump? Why is "whump" in general entirely assumed to be male characters and male dominated? Because it's expected, because most of these women in the whump community love hurting their lil gay bois? We decree violence against women only to turn around giggling with our friends about taking a 12 gauge shotgun to a twink's knees so he has to crawl?
No one said she even had to be a whumpee. She can be a whumper, a carewhumper, a caretaker, a random side character. She can be a mom or a sister or a spouse or a childhood best friend. The problem is she doesn't exist at all. She doesn't get to be the victim or the hero or the villain because she's not appealing enough. I read male whump when I wanna feel spicy, I read female whump when I wanna relate. I want to see the same girl I was, broken and abused, I wanna see her rise to the top, I wanna see her take it too far, I wanna see justice delivered in the bloodiest form, I wanna simp over a bad bitch who would seduce me in a night club with a tight black dress and leave me in an ice bath in the morning.
In a community with 98% male OCs, I think we can spare a crumb for more women who are weak or cruel or kind. Just make more women in general.
You can advocate for lady whump and created lady whump and talk about lady whump without automatically assigning misogyny to people who aren't into it.
You're setting up a strawman argument that the anon didn't even make. They didn't say it's too cruel or somehow unethical - they just said that many women aren't interested in seeing other women hurt, which is true and something that even you acknowledge is completely fair. But you then went on to put words in their mouth.
I agree with your frustrations. While I prefer to write guy whump (because I literally write MM romance as a job and prefer creating distance between myself and my characters), there's a lot of great lady whump out there. I'm actually a huge fan of your lady whump in particular, specifically Ashley and Slasher. I want everyone to get more of the art that they enjoy, regardless of whether I enjoy it or not, and there is admittedly very little in the way of lady whump on Tumblr. But to automatically shake your finger at everyone else and accuse them of bigotry because you're not getting what you want is entirely unfair.
I'm a cis lesbian survivor too, and I have a significant preference for guy whump for a shitton of reasons that have nothing to do with hating women. (I enjoy NSFWhump but am uncomfortable seeing that with women due to my own experiences, a lot of violence against women feels sexualized in a way I'm uncomfortable with, and mainstream media already has so much violence against women, for starters.) I personally don't read whump to relate. I read it to explore
I'm not denying that misogyny plays a part in this, mind you. It certainly does. I know all too well how much internalized misogyny a lot of young women have. But it's a part. Not the only part. And I'd even argue it's a relatively small part, especially considering that the community includes a LOT of people who are attracted to men and derive sexual satisfaction from whump.

I know none of you sickos (affectionate) out here writing about angst and whump are over age 25 because none of you EVER mention how much it hurts your knees to kneel down. Bestie if your blorbo is in his 30's, he's going to be wailing and gnashing his teeth after five minutes kneeling on a concrete floor, and not because it's hurting his pride
no no. you don't get it. the reason I injure my blorbos until they can't walk is because that's the only way they'll ever let someone else carry them. the reason I curse them to be sick and feverish is so that they'll finally open up about their emotions while delirious. the reason I force them to overexert themselves to the point of exhaustion is so that when they pass out they can finally rest.
The whumper loved leaving permanent marks on the whumpee, but they wanted to make sure they were pleasing to look at. The whumper would take hours to carve intricate patterns onto the whumpee’s skin, their cries of agony only adding to the enjoyment. Sometimes, the whumper would brand the whumpee as well, it was easier, but just as painful.

Something specific I‘d love to see from the perspective of your writing is a ex-heavily conditioned whumpee‘s pov of being caretaked when their are too delirious to realize their it’s not their master it’s their friend (caretaker)
tw sickfic, past trauma, past implied noncon, delirium, whumpee offering themself up, conditioned whumpee
"N-no, no, please, not tonight... n-not tonight... I won't be able to..." Whumpee trailed off, flinching when Master's hand brushed against their forehead.
"Won't be able to do what, sweetheart?" they asked softly, the pet name soothing their nerves a little.
"Please you," they muttered. "I don't think... I don't think I c-can–"
"Whumpee, what are you saying?"
Oh. Master was angry. Even in their half-conscious state, they scrambled to backtrack and correct themself. "N-nothing, nothing, you're right! You're right, I can take it, I can do– do whatever you want, and... and I'm nice and warm, at least–"
"Whumpee." Master cupped their cheeks, and Whumpee's eyes fluttered closed as they waited for either a hit of a forceful kiss. "Whumpee, darling, are you with me? Do you know who I am?"
Do you know who I am?
"Master, my master, my owner, my saviour, my god," they recited the words obediently without any thought, as they had done so many times before. "And as your lowly p-pet, I take anything you give me with endless... endless gratitude..."
"Oh, dear. You're so much sicker than I realised..."
"I'm sorry, Master. I'll do my best for you. I'm sorry I tried to get out of it."
Instead of more scolding, Master pulled back and away from them. They opened their eyes just in time to see them wipe away a tear, and their heart sank. What had they done? Had they done something wrong? Had they upset Master?
They tried to get up so they could grovel properly, but Master pushed them back down onto the bed. It didn't take much effort, really; they had already been weaker than them before the sickness, and doubly so now. Not to mention the way they'd been trained to go limp whenever Master wanted to manhandle them.
"You need to rest, sweetheart. Okay? That's all I ask of you."
Whumpee blinked, then nodded. How gracious. How merciful. Even though they'd been a horrible pet, already resisting and arguing before Master had even told them their intentions, they still found it in themself to forgive and let them sleep. "Thank you," they murmured. "Thank you, Master."
