Who's Ricky Goldsworth?

old lady: That young man? Impossible! He said goodnight and left on the ferry. Now what robber would use a getaway ferry?

-their father, Richard Norris, runs the mob --Lucy was an arranged marriage, they hate each other --Francesca was the result of an affair ---Lucy got drunk shortly after seeing the sonogram on Richard Norris’ desk and 9 months later came Ricky ---Francesca’s mother tried to blackmail Richard Norris but he just arranged a car “accident” ----Francesca only survived by accident and was adopted mainly for show

-all three siblings went to posh, private boarding school prior to graduating early and learning the family business --Richard Norris had to bribe them to cooperate ---definitely the reason they’re all so materialistic

-Francesca is only a half-sibling, but she is DEFINITELY the older sister

-She refers to Ricky and NN as “Ricky and Nicky” --NN HAAAAATES it

-She and her father, Richard Norris, don’t get along --Like seriously, he hates her

-The only reason she lives with them is because she survived every murder attempt he threw at her

-and Lucy loves her

-Ricky’s not even that surprised when Francesca shows up in his bedroom --”Hey, I need help getting rid of a body.”  --”Who?” --”Dear old dad of course.”

-then the siblings have to talk out what they’re doing now --Ricky and Francesca share control of the mob ---NN is content to follow orders, he doesn’t really want to be in charge of it all --and names?  ---”I want to start going by Goldsworth to honor Mom.” ----Lucy’s real maiden name is Goldsworth ---”Fabulous. I’m going to keep Norris.” ---”Look, I know you’re not actually related to her, but I’m sure Mom would love it if you changed your name to Goldsworth.” ---”Oh no, I just don’t want Richard Norris the first to come up at all when you research Norris. I want to steal his glory.”  ---”Nice.”

-Ricky kidnaps CC for a bit and Francesca is there the entire time --CC sits at the breakfast table and she just asks him about how he looks for clues and evidence the entire time ---”I don’t believe I’ve met you.” ---”Oh no. My brother likes to watch detectives get frustrated in the interrogation room. I like to watch them get frustrated when they can’t get me in the interrogation room.” --Ricky goes out for a bit and Francesca just sits on the sofa, crosses her legs over CC’s lap, and goes “so what embarrassing but not incriminating information do you want to know?”  

-Banjo comes along as a bumbling mercenary for hire --”He’s never missed a kill, Ricky. And yet he comes off as such a fool. There’s got to be something more there. He’s secretly a genius or something, I know it.”  --”How are you going to find out?”  --”I’m gonna make out with him.”

-six months later, Ricky is the man of honor and Night Night is also part of the processional

-Francesca and Ricky pair him with Legs without thinking much about it --soon, Legs is sleeping at their house --Legs also loves tacky jewelry like Night Night --Francesca and Ricky see how well they work together and never pair them with other people

So, the Ovilus was introduced. And it spazzed out in the little boy’s room, especially when Ryan was interacting with it. 

Seems like a big deal, doesn’t it? Well, like the title says, that’s some bullshit, and here’s why, using evidence from Unsolved.

The Ovilus works off environmental factors. One of these factors is electromagnetic fields (EMFs). Electromagnetic fields are a pretty big deal in ghost hunting. I don’t really understand why, but the point of this “big deal” is that this is not the only time we’ve seen electromagnetic fields in Unsolved. Let’s take it back to the Sallie House real quick. Now, when they’re in the basement (38:25 ish if y’all are wondering), before Shane lies down on the pentagram, the ghost hunter they’ve called in says that his EMF measurements are going crazy because of some device in the Sallie House basement. It’s a “false read” according to the guy who does this for a living. This device is a pretty common thing in houses. 

What’s to say that such a device isn’t in the Williams’ house? In fact, I would be more surprised if it wasn’t. And that device has to be somewhere. I would guess the attic, a crawlspace, a basement, or outside, meaning that it could be close but not visible from the little boy’s room. So how does this device play into the Ovilus? 

Again, the Ovilus works off the EMF readings. If the EMF readings are messed up because of such a device, then the Ovilus would be messed up too. 

Sara just wants to make a little girl’s day, even if that means talking to a super villain. Shane wanted a drink, but then a curly-haired woman interrupts.
