Hello, i hope i’m allowed to ask this here! i’ve recently been working on my own species, and i’ve been jumping into some of the species i see on TH to learn a little bit, and something i’ve noticed is that almost all of them are kemonomimi/have mammal traits. i was planning on having ears as just a side/optional trait for my species but i’m second guessing myself now bc i feel like not having kemonomimi traits might hinder the success of my species ;-; what do y’all think?

You want to have a vision of what your goal is- for youself, your audience, your species.
Some tips are start out small, raffles, dta, Qna seasons, maaaybe limited myo events
Let the population get a taste of the species and maybe evrn open an anonymous questionnaire to get feedback. Somtimes it helps to consult a seasoned CS owner, if you do have more questions you can always hit me up

I feel like spacepuffs are super underrated for how much work is put into them and how unique they are...I'm excited to see them finally getting more attention recently though! And the big reboot event made them feel so WHOLE. God I love when CS are this developed.
Can we just take a moment at how underrated some closed species are? My favorite smaller CS is ClericCrow's vicarri. They look dope af and are pretty neat. The mouth and ribcage ideas are also pretty cool. The art itself is great too! I'm kinda sad that they're usually only got bought for $15-$20 in auctions. Seriously! Check them out!
I personally think that Tamagokos and Plotties are cute humanoid species. I know most people don't like kemono + object but honestly, the egg theme is just cute and the members are super nice. A feral species that I'd rec is Stygians, with cool designs and a well rounded ARPG system.
Axobles is a cute small species communities! The owner seems really sweet too!

Galaxy-monsters are a REALLY underappreciated species IMO!! The creator is still working on lore but the designs are so good they deserve more attention!
Ahh.. As nice as all the words here unfortunately what I do isn't species.. And I know its ironic since this is a blog to it. Its just theres no other real places for talking of normal designs that's active and not years abandoned. So my stuff dosn't really have place here sadly. I was just upset but with being the incorrect topic for the blog I should have bothered.
Ad on to anon as well I keep forgetting that little speech bubbles are not direct conversations to the message posted. Would you be comfortable posting your species here? By posting it here you are advertising your species which is a nice start (addition?). As noted in the speech bubble to your question, you can have guest artists, myo events..posting in groups and even have raffles are great ideas! some audiences are interested in lore and story, some are only looking for what looks cool it helps to find what your audience is into and build on that and then expand on that of course do what you love and what makes you happy.🌟,🌟

Add-on to the last reply sent by anon, I also suggest posting in different groups at different hours. Sometimes it really helps since you're reaching different people from different timezones. It will take time and effort to get your adopts and species out there, but eventually it will work. Don't give up!
A way to get your adopts out there is to add them to as many adopt groups as you see fit. If your adopts are closed/open/semi open species adopts, you can submit them to groups that focus on all kinds of closed/open/semi open species and not just one. I can't guarantee that it'll work, and you'll probably have to submit them MANY times, but it's a way to do it.

Be sure to check out first Bloods they're super easy to obtain just by drawing a few pictures of currently existing first Bloods you get yourself a little egg what you can hatch . These are creatures made of Stardust so designing them is pretty fun. Is there like some advice I can get I really could use some. I just don't know how to get my adopts out to people. Iv been on deviantart over 6 years now and im not even close to scratching 500. Im just so close to giving up on art in general. Going to other sites dosnt help and it just turns me back to wow. My shit must really suck.
