“No-” Kaiden begins, “Absolutely not,” He pouts; making a face at the very idea before shaking his head. “Enjoying it… Putting up with it.. It’s the same concept, really..” He retorts back with a sly smile. “Don’t be so smug,” Kaiden scoffs back; pulling his face away from her shoulder to playfully glare. “And all of the animated films are the same, you dork.” He challenges. “They all have some sort of sappy ending and you enjoy them.”
Kaiden merely gives a shake of his head before stretching; making sure to catch her gaze before speaking once more. “I still think you would.” He remarks in a sing song voice; not at all bothering to hide the amusement that was lighting up his features now. “Hm?” He hums, biting his lip gently as he glances toward the bathroom door. “You wouldn’t..” He challenges; not buying her privacy speech in the slightest. Although if she wanted to, she could easily be in the cubicle before he’d have time to cross the room. “If you did, we’d probably have three children at our feet and another on the way.” He remarks just as casually, though slowly making his way from his spot to where Sydney sat. “Yeah, I think I can definitely deal with finding things out for myself.” Kaiden states with a rather confident smirk; now half way across the room.
Now Kai’s arms are crossed against his chest, watching her with a careful gaze as she turns the scenario back onto him. “My fault?” He muses with a laugh. “You have far too high expectations for me when I’m drunk, you goof.” He chastises with a mockingly stern facial expression. “I was clearly the one in emotional turmoil. I was just being a courteous boyfriend.” Kai scoffs, as if that were reasoning enough. Although the fact he didn’t know just what he’d so drunkenly informed her was still irking him. “Oh?” Cue a tilt of his head- not able to hide the surprise as Sydney actually agreed with the sarcastic plan he’d came up with. “-You know, now that you mention it, I’d much rather sit here and bug you with my troubles.” He explains, shrugging his shoulders as if it were the wisest option. Kaiden’s pouting expression only deepens as Sydney threatens to call his manager- head definitely snapping up at the mention of both Dylan and her family that most likely wouldn’t be so keen on being front row to meet him. “-You don’t play fair,” He finally groans, now reaching the edge of the bed; only a few feet from her now. “Working is obviously out and I don’t want to hear Dylan’s riveting tails on your nights nor do I want to be kicked around by your family.” At this point, he’s doing the best doe eyed expression he can muster as if to plead his innocence. “I can manage myself without those things.”
"hm?" sydney hums curiously. "it sounded like that's what you were suggesting to me..." she argued, unable to stop herself from laughing at the mere thought of it. "wow." she raises her eyebrow, mock offence in her expression. "well if it's so hard sharing a bed with me kaiden, there's a perfectly decent couch in the living room, i know the dog usually sleeps there but she's more than grateful to cuddle with me usually." she suggests, as though actually considering the idea. "me? smug?" sydney looks to him with mock surprise, "never." she exaggerates. pushing him away as he challenges her. "that's not true at all." she argues, taking the bait. "and they don't all have sappy endings, i mean, in how to train your dragon hiccup loses his leg." she defends. "and if you read the original fairy tales that disney based their princesses off, grimms were definitely not sappy."
"i know for a fact i wouldn't." sydney argued back, mocking his tone of voice. rolling her eyes as she moved to the edge of the bed, placing her feet on the ground as she considered locking herself in the bathroom, just for the sake of annoying him. "oh really?" sydney questioned as he challenged her, "you know, it's almost as though you never learn your lesson with me." she can't help but laugh, wondering why after all this time he still doubted the lengths she'd go to to annoy him. watching him carefully as he moves sydney groans. "we are not having anymore kids for a long time." she warns him, not wanting him to get any ideas into his head, simply raising an eyebrow as he confirms he was happy to find out for himself.
mimicking his body language sydney crosses her arms too, "don't try and pretend the phone calls were all about being a cute boyfriend." sydney rolls her eyes. "you rang me drunk about a week after our first date claiming you were in love with me." she reminded him smugly, "and the best part is you were only doing a few shows in local towns, it wasn't even a tour." she teased. "you're just a soppy drunk, and that's okay, it's cute." she continues, knowing for a fact it embarrasses him. though as he backs down on his idea of therapy she shakes her head sternly. "no, no, i'm not qualified to deal with the issues at hand, i mean poor baby, your life is so hard." she pouts playfully, definitely only risking the teasing what with the distance between them. "i can't play fair with you, you're like a child, you need to be taught right from wrong." she points out, "and as i wouldn't leave a small child home alone, i'm thinking i'll have to get you a babysitter too." she confirms, trying to keep up her serious façade despite the fact that his pout is definitely getting to her. "come here." she mumbles, taking his hand to pull him closer and close the gap between them. "you know i love you really." she states sweetly.
