Man from Gabowe Grądy, Poland, 1982. That village is one of the three main centers of Starowiercy/Starovery [Old Believers] living in the territory of Poland, who separated from the official Russian Orthodox Church as a protest against the church reforms introduced between 1652 and 1666, and continue the old liturgical practices. Dzhabagiyev Magomet-Girey Yeldzhiyevich (1877-1937) - public and political figure, agronomist, ethnographer and folklorist, was a member of the Central Committee of the Union of United Highlanders of the Caucasus and was the chairman of the Ingush National Council (1918). Created the first Ingush alphabet in 1889. Led the Society for the Education of the Ingush People (1917). Was the president of the Union of Highlanders of the Caucasus (1931).

In emmigration in France he stopped engaging in political activity and devoted himself to the study and research of the Ingush language and folklore, and published his collections of Ingush oral folklore.
