been putting this review off in the hope of finally coming to a conclusion on how i feel about this show and i have simply come to the conclusion i have no fucking clue. i can offer absolutely no serious analysis on what this show is trying to say or what it was going for or pretty much anything except the exact details of the plot and the things that occurred. im sure this is a show with some kind of message but to me this show is so bonkers it makes code geass at it wackiest look traditional catholic by compassion so its hard to watch this with an analytical lense (doesnt help im not very analytical anyways). while i cant say literally anything about what this show means beyond exactly the things the characters say and do i will still say i dont really have a problem with it. i dont mind this show behing just completely fucking insane levels of hypersexual althought some of the stuff at the end with embryo or fetus or whatever the hell his name was was just a little bit like. Yeah i get it. basically the only problem i have with this show is the main dude. tusk fucking sucks. i actually dont have a problem with him conceptually like his bit is annoying but like fine i get it the show is hypersexual and would be even if he wasnt there but to me this is like the most obvious case of comphet for no reason ive ever seen in my life. tusk is no joke quite literally the ONLY NORMAL MAN ON EARTH. every other man who appears on screen is a random npc who probably dies anyways, is one of anges family, or is completely fucking bonkers evil. like even without that the make the distinction that the humans who can use mana and norma are like different but theres not and its just invented racism but its still treated as functionally true for the purposes of the show was written with one hand so that instantly makes tusk the only living man on earth. or at least if any other men from his group are alive then we never met them so they might as well not exist. i have no problem with ange having a boyfriend in a show where every woman wants to have sex with her and she has literally like a fated rival like when she meets salad they have this flash where its like they have been destined for like...Ever? and its just completely irrelevant and even without tusk the girl who gets the most yuri with ange is the tsundere. like i just dont get what this show was cooking because i see the ingredients and im like okay i know what you can make with that and then the show is like hey were gonna do 5 straight scenes of ange cumming but real quick look over there out the window and then i do and then i look back and its like even thought i saw pasta meatballs and sauce on the table when i turn back i see a korean bbq chicken prepared and the prior ingredients gone and i just dont know how or why this has happened. if that makes any sense. the show of all time
