Dear future husband.

I been trying to figure out a way to write these words. I think it’s because that’s when I turned 24, I was consciously dreaming on how to spend my life with you. I’ve been patient while battling temptation from a world that tells me a love story should start from a young age, even in kids movies there a stories about love, how it should be. But since a young age I also knew that true love is way more beautiful then what are shown to us. True love is free of selfishness. True love is wanting the best for your spouse without wanting anything in return. It’s being happy because you see your spouse pleased. Joy and happiness are shared with a beautiful bond by the permission of Allah. I want you to smile and always feel joy in your heart when you are in my company. I also know that love is something you build, even hardships are tools do build it with. It makes the relationship stronger and gives it more meaning. I want to meet you in the right time in life. In a time where I have achieved certain goals first. And in shaa Allah this time is soon to come.

Some nights I stay up visualizing a life, one where I’d never leave your side. A bestfriend for a lifetime, a true soulmate which I can share all my laughter and funny stories with. The one whom I can speak deep meaningful conversations with. One which I want to impact to become better person. I want us to impact each other in ways that makes both of us strive for better, in all different kind of paths in this life, and for the next.

One day you’ll take my hand in marriage, I’ll smile and you’ll say, “we’re married.” I’ll remind you that your love was always mine to carry. Our smiles will shine the darkest of days. We will make new stories in our lives. We will travel around the world, work hard and make memories that will forever stay in our minds and hearts. We will learn so much new things about each other, things we didnt knew about one another. We will grow, and appreciate each other more and more with time. We will thank Allah for the biggest blessing in our lives, the day we met each other.

The love we will create when we have children will validate every word I say. I’ll love you forever and hold your hand each and every day. I will see you being the best dad, carrying our kids while doing stupid faces only to make them laugh. I will laugh along. I will try to be the best mother, nourish our children with care, love and teach them important lessons. You will smile while helping to make the best childhood memories for our little babies. They will grow and appreciate us, we will grow old together and think ‘how did time went so fast’. We will smile with our hearts when our kids comes to visit us. It started with us two, and it will end with us two, just with more love from every corner.

I believe in fate. So no matter where you are in the universe right now, we’ll find each other in the right time, in shaa Allah. I look forward to share the new chapter of love with you. In our path in this life reaching for Jannah, I want us to hold hands and do it together. Your queen looks forward to meet her king. One beautiful day, in shaa Allah.
