The air is thin, no joyful sound.

I see the sun, its golden rays,

I see the birds in skies they praise.

They spread their wings, they soar so high,

While here I sit, I wonder why.

I dream of flight, of skies so blue,

But can I fly? I never knew.

The bars are strong, they hold me fast,

But hope inside begins to last.

A breeze so gentle starts to blow,

It shakes my cage, it rocks me slow.

With fear and hope, I take a chance,

I spread my wings, I start to dance.

The cage falls down, I feel the wind,

A taste of freedom, I can't rescind.

I fly, I soar, I touch the sky,

I laugh, I cry, I question why.

For now I'm free, no chains, no bars,

I find myself among the stars.

No longer lone, my heart can sing,

In love's embrace, I find my wing.

To be myself, to freely roam,
