Deltarune Tomorrow

The Press Buttons ’n Talk play-throughs of Ace Attorney were my introduction to the series, and so all of the quotes live rent-free in my head. There’s an additional sketch for omega Flowery as Chief Gant saying, “I’m a big orange gold power man, and I’m gonna beat the shit out of you!” specifically inspired by the way I keep flubbing the lyrics to “Flower Man” (“hope that flowers the Power Man”). That sketch is so scuffed though I’m not including it here lol.

These swaps are probably pretty self-explanatory, but to quickly sum up:

• Susie and Maya swap because of the origin story behind Susie’s creation as a character

• Ralsei and Gumshoe’s swap is inspired directly by the “c’mon, pals!” quote in Ralsei’s concept art. Every “pal” is forever read in ProZD’s Gumshoe voice, therefore, Ralsei and Gumshoe swap

I doodled this around the same time as the Dreemurr family beach day and pigtail Kris comics, but didn’t originally intend to nicely line and color them. Then the temperature kept getting hotter and hotter where I live and all I could think was, “wouldn’t a boba day with friends just be really nice?” Also it funni.

Kris has a Thai milk tea with a pink straw chosen for Ralsei’s eyes and scarf, Susie has a taro milk tea with a yellow straw grabbed by chance, Noelle has a wintermelon milk tea with a purple straw for Susie, and Berdly has a classic milk tea and didn’t grab a straw because, “real gamers don’t need straws” (if he did have a straw, he would pick green for his halberd in the Dark World and maybe for eternal gaming rival Kris too waitwhosaidthat). Sans runs the boba shop, of course.

Not that this is important, but I do want to explain that the reason I keep putting a white fade on one of the borders of my weird route art is bc of the lighting on Noelle’s last two sprites:
