I’ve finally started working on the sprites for my game, I decided on pixel art for moving around in the game, but I think I might chose a different art style for the sprites during conversation.

This was my first time trying like actual pixel art so it was a bit tough, but I’m happy enough with how it turned out and I can always edit it later!

I’ve also made a color palette for the game as well, I’ve decided to go with 32 colors, I read that this will help the art in the game look more cohesive as well! (Procreate only has 30 slots for a palette shhh there’s two more secret colors)

Also, I’ve started art fight!!! My user is a-long-furby, and I’ve put a bunch of characters from this project, and more, in it!!!

Hey guys!!! Sorry for the wait on this post, just catching up on some schoolwork:')

So!! Here is the main location of Whirlwind. It's this big manor called the Merriweather Estate! My main inspiration is french second empire architecture with Gothic elements, and I'm pretty happy with how it looks, at least from the outside, right now. I might change around the inside layout but for now I think it works fine. I also really wanted to include a big garden section outside that has flowers and fountains and statues. I'm placing the manor next to some moors for the Wuthering Heights vibe.

Okay next character!! This is our girlie René LeClair! She's an old co star of Vivien's who's recently reappeared. Went missing after an incident at the film set for the movie, "Whirlwind", and our protag has been trying to track her down between cases. Also really wanted to make an older butch character bc I love them so much<3
