You know what drives me nuts in The Sims 4? (Many things) but in this case it’s that most terrain paints don’t have matching floor tilings and the ones that DO have matching floors do not have matching names. E.g. is how the terrain paint “Two-tone stone” does in fact have a matching flooring but instead the floor is called “Antique Stone Tile”. WHY.

Well, here’s a remake of most of the non-grass terrain paints made into floor tilings.

Just search for the name of the terrain paint you want the matching floor tile for (in Build/Buy catalog) and you shall find it!

Hello everyone. First of all, I want to apologize for my long absence and for not releasing the "Project renaissance" mod last summer. Unfortunately, there were reasons for this. Due to difficult life circumstances, I had to stop developing the mod for a while. But let's not talk about sad things.

Finally, I am ready to present you the mod "Project renaissance", which I have been working on for a long time.

I replaced the textures of 17 trees and 31 plants from The Sims 3 base game. The game was released 15 years ago, and today it looks pretty outdated in terms of graphics. Despite this, the game still has a huge fan base, which creates amazing mods and game materials, thereby making our game even more attractive and interesting.

Thanks to the "Project renaissance" mod, you can add a little realism to your game, the vegetation will look much more realistic.

I made two versions of the mod: small textures and large textures.

The first version is suitable for a comfortable gameplay, the second is more suitable for creating beautiful screenshots and videos, as it loads the system well enough. Gradually, I will refine my mod, I plan to add new vegetation textures for additions, as well as replace the textures of the landscape and roads.

so I'm just goofing around in build mode and I realized I needed a nice, neat, and tidy way for rooms with different floorings to end otherwise I would've gone mad. Fences work, but only if there's no wall already there. Maybe these exist in game already, but I couldn't find 'em. 🤷🏾‍♀️ These are really only useful if you use arches or have any custom doors that are always ajar, otherwise they'll be hidden under the closed door, sight unseen.

features:

the action is added to toddler beds and only works on the left side.

you need a toddler book in the sim inventory. if there are several, the game picks one at random or uses the one marked as favorite.

outcomes:

raises fun and social;

for adults, slightly raises parenting skill;

for toddlers, increases communication and imagination skill;

slightly improves relationships;

lets you complete the 'successful lineage aspiration' task 'read to a child';

If you completed that fairy event – whatever it was called – then you'll have unlocked these bad boys: Casual sandals! The only thing is... there are 3 clean swatches and fiddylem crusty-feet swatches. That isn't even the biggest crime committed, unfortunately.

Get this: Your Sims can SWIM in them. And for why?!

So, I went ahead and disabled all swatches of these sandals for the swimming category and situation events.

Afterwards, I got rid of those unloved feets! And I even added a completely cleaned up version because my Sims will not walk around looking the way EA feels about The Sims 4!

There are THREE versions available, but you may only CHOOSE ONE since this is a default replacement.

Isn't that kind of similar to the feeling you get when you step into a basement? Maybe not for everyone! But basements are usually the places where our past is still very much present. You can easily get lost in the memories and all kinds of trinkets you find along the way.

That's what I tried to capture with this set; old items that still have a life of their own- or at least they used to. They evoke this unique feeling that you can't quite put your finger on. But you enjoy it. 🪄
