What's your blog title from?

It came to me in the night, like a strike of lightning. And it was my Instagram handle.

2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?

My second viewing of Project Hail Mary proved that it's actually perfect and the only movie I care about for maybe forever.

3. what are you looking forward to right now?

I have a presentation at 11 and I am very excited for it to go well and to be done with it.

4. if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

Honestly, I'd get a lot of my around the house to-do's done, but I actually have so many fucking meetings and I will be tired by the time we get to to-do's so alas, they must wait.

5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)

I hate what it's called and I hate that it's so cringe as a brand but god I love MudWtr so much

6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?

So I dye my hair which means I have to be a little weird about it. I wash my hair in cold water with my handheld shower head while flipping my head over the bath, shampoo, conditioner or hair mask, then pop on a shower cap and take the rest of my shower, then rinse in cold water. I only wash my hair every 2-3 days, and every 2-3 weeks I add more color in by either being a grownup about it with gloves and bowls and brushes or by schlorping the dye into a handful of conditioner and calling it a day.

7. what's your favourite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?

I wish driving was a net good for the environment because I love the zen space of all the things you have to pay attention to but also the muscle memory of the actions. I do also love a train ride, even a commuter train is delightful to me.

8. favourite month of the year and why?

NOVEMBER because it's my BIRTHDAY and therefor it is MINE and it is ABOUT ME

9. favourite time of day and why?

I'm a disgusting morning person and I think 7am is a lovely, LOVELY time of day.

10. do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that?

I follow Liverpool FC via my husband and Wimbeldon FC via John Green. I think sports are extremely cool and good and I love the ways humans find connection and joy in things they made up but I cannot pay attention to sports that long because oh my god it's boring.

11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?

There is always a Taylor Swift song hiding in a corner of my mind.

12. dishes or laundry?

I would rather do dishes forever. Laundry is the worst torture of the modern household.

13. what's something you learned recently?

My left shoulder sits about two centimeters higher than my right.

14. if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?

The reasons why Movie Gandalf is a much better character than Book Gandalf, who sucks ass and butt.

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

"work with yourself, not against yourself"

16. what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?

"You have ADHD, go get diagnosed, it's fine."

17. do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?

I am always knocking on wood to not jinx things, but otherwise most of my lil superstitions fall away like so many hobbies and habits

18. Are you musical? Play any instruments or sing? Would you ever perform for an audience?

I like to sing karaoke and I have played clarinet on and off for a long time. I looove performing unfortunately and will do it whenever I can.

I am the most eloquent and articulate with verbal communication, for sure.

I'm bisexual and I like dystopian fiction (I may also not be bisexual but that's a future me problem icl).

Uuuuh it might also be PHM? Actually wait no it was a shitty disaster movie called Thrash or smth, barely even qualified as so bad it's good but it was entertaining to laugh at.

Transitioning!

4. if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

Serious answers: Come out to more people, finish my coursework

Less serious answer: Send that one fucking climb at my local gym, it's going to haunt my dreams until I finish it

5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)

Tea. Like bogstandard breakfast tea. It's boring as fuck but it's great.

6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?

Currently fuck all, may get more complicated in the future as I grow my hair out and maybe dye it.

7. what's your favourite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?

A good train ride is really nice, do it quite a bit so I just download a book and binge it. Technically climbing is a form of vertical travel so it's probably that.

8. favourite month of the year and why?

June is my birthday month but that's boring so it's like April I think, nice weather, not too hot, ideal climbing conditions.

9. favourite time of day and why?

I'm a big 11am enjoyer.

10. do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that?

Climbing. Specifically and exclusively climbing. Been doing it for 5 years or so, absolutely obsessed, I teach it while not at uni, it's awesome.

11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?

My obsession with Alter Bridge knows no bounds.

12. dishes or laundry?

Dishes, feels like I'm accomplishing something (and I also don't have to look at clothes I don't like).

13. what's something you learned recently?

So ordinarily I would pick something from my course (like the fact that there's an Old Norse saga about the fall of Troy which is really really cool), but prev's fact here reminded me of the fact that my shoulders are hypermobile enough to touch my toes when sitting without needing to bend my back or lean forwards at all, it's freaky.

14. if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?

English place-names. Or climbing.

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

Doing something badly is better than not doing it at all.

16. what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?

Easy as fuck: you're a woman, go get some estrogen.

17. do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?

Not really? I'll touch wood/my head to avoid jinxing things, but nothing beyond that (at least consciously).

No and no, regardless of how emphatically I sing along to whatever song is stuck in my head at any given time.

Typing 100%, speaking and writing leads to too many miscommunications.

It was my original steam username from when i was 14 actually. It just kinda stuck.

Most recent watch was Pink Floyd's The Wall. Its one of my all time favorites and i end up going back to it every couple months or so.

3. what are you looking forward to right now?

A Wonder Woman by Gail Simone Omnibus I ordered to turn up in the mail and saving up for a PC.

4. if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

I spent the day with my girlfriend and i'm very happy with that. We are both busy and i wish we got to do it more often.

5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)

I am a huge coffee person. I watched twin peaks as a teenager and wanted to be like Dale Cooper.

6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?

I do very little, besides washing it when I shower.

7. what's your favourite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?

I fucked with trains a lot as a kid. (Can you tell i'm on the spectrum?). I'm fortunate enough that i can take the train pretty consistently to my Uni classes. I would love to go on like an over night train trip and get a sleeper car.

8. favourite month of the year and why?

April is my birthday month so thats definitely up there. a lot of my friends have their birthday around the same time so it's a pretty fun month. Otherwise i'd say October. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday.

9. favourite time of day and why?

from like 8PM until i go to bed. I'm a huge night person and a sleep procrastinator

10. do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that?

I played basketball in high school but i was pretty mediocre. I loosely followed the NBA at the time but i really only watch the like the playoffs and the finals at the moment.

11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?

I never outgrew the middle school emo phase. Its always a mix of MCR, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, and the Cure.

Laundry. No i will not elaborate.

13. what's something you learned recently?

Been doing a really interesting assignment recently about the philosophical and economic basis of public education. It's way more interesting than it sounds. Im arguing that we should invest in public education because it's a moral good for people to have access to it. Not just because it enables us to grow up and contribute to the economy like some "People" argue.

14. if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?

there is so much shit i could do a TED talk on TBH. But after going through Film school i'd like to formerly write down and present my thoughts on why i really don't really love the term auteur because it discounts the collaborative nature of film as an art form.

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

Half the people my age would have used AI to do this. at least i did it for real.

16. what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?

It actually does get better. Talk to someone about it, please.

17. do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?

not particularly no. I had a lucky necklace as a kid but i broke it like a decade ago.

I wish I was but i'm not. i tried picking up guitar in high school but that really didn't work out. I didn't have the time

type. My hand writing is basically illegible and i'm not a great public speaker.

1. What’s your blog title from?

Vans my favourite character from Yellowjackets and her video rental store is called while you were streaming. I’m a movie buff, and I also love physical media.

2. What movie have you watched the most recently? What did you think of it?

The last movie I watched I think was hunger games catching fire, it’s one of my favourite movies I’ll forever love it.

3. What are you looking forward to right now?

My next concert, Sofia Isella and seeing my long distance bestfriend again which will hopefully be soon </3

4. If you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

Make a film. On a whim, come up with a plot get my friends to act in it.

5. What’s you’re drink of choice (coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, ect)

I don’t drink hot drinks to be honest, I hate hot drinks, I’m failing as a British man because I think I’ve drank it about four times in my life.

Alcohol is always a cider, a fruity flavour or a cocktail

For like everyday drinks I’d have to say probably monster pacific punch.

6. What’s your hair routine like? Anything special?

I wash it when I go in the shower, other than that I don’t do anything with it other than a volume hair product and styling powder if I’m going out.

7. What's your favourite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?

I love trains, I always have since I was a kid, long train journeys with good music is amazing.

I haven’t travelled by boat yet, I’ve been in a boat on like a small fifteen minute out into the ocean then back, but never travelled on one, so that would be something I’d like to try.

8. favourite month of the year and why?

June, when it’s like peak summer ish, and I can spend time with family outside, beach trips, picnics, and we take the dogs out to fun places

That hour or two if bedrotting and doomscrolling before settling down to sleep because it’s just the perfect relaxation time.

10. do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that?

No I find it kinda boring, unless you count darts as a sport because I do love playing darts occasionally.

11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?

Yungblud, Alex Warren, Akon and Neyo. And that’s because I’ve been to their concerts recently.

Laundry. Dishes are gross and take forever

Patience is key. Just wait and it’ll come around

Cannibalism and its meanings within films and tv shows. I could talk for HOURS about that shit.

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

Just ask, the worst that can happen is you get told no.

This has been more to my younger sisters as they’re getting older, mainly to keep them out of trouble with our parents.

16 what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?

You are not going to feel that way forever, don’t be scared to leave that friendship because there’s better ones on the way.

I do, I don’t walk through signs or over two or three drains or split the pole. I have two necklaces that I never take off.

I used to play piano and keyboard, I’m learning guitar, I’d never play infront of an audience I don’t like being the center of attention

Type, my hand writings a mess and I’m too dyslexic to clock spelling mistakes. Thank the lord for auto correct.

Anything. I love talking about random stuff
