Not All Here

Primary voting was starting, and when voting came... Well, rich people crawled out of the woodwork with a few vendettas needing solved. Which has Cheshire perched on a roof with a rifle in hand. Eye peering through the scope as she watches her target move throughout the room he’s in. It’s late, the dark of night shrouding her and her intentions. 

They really do make this job too easy. The man slips into bed, getting ready for another night of fitful sleep. She’s been watching him for a few days, letting time nourish her other plans as she works. This target is simple. A long work day, lonely dinners at home, and a sleep schedule that could use a lot of work given the time he gets up in the morning. 

Luckily for him, he’s about to be awarded a nice long rest. An early retirement really; if only he could thank her. 

Lights switched off she changes to night vision on her scope, waiting until it seems he’s settled. Trigger tapped a bullet flies through the air, silent as it cuts past the distance between her and the Senator. It goes through his window with ease, and hits right on target. A few seconds tick by and she nods her head, target eliminated.
