pride on tumblr is so fun!!!11!!! the heart turns into a rainbow when you hit the like button 😆😆😆 the tumblr staff and algorithm continues to be exceedingly transphobic and especially transmisogynistic. trans women are getting banned left and right for merely existing. please don’t let another version of rainbow capitalism distract you
The one thing I can articulate is that no amount of being disabled can prevent you from being ableist. Especially towards people with different impairment types or more severe disability.
happy aromantic visibilty day to one of my fav fandom wiki comments
I wish I could have heard you sing this… I bet you have a beautiful voice

I'm sorry but this is just too funny not to put here (not my screenshot)
I am a huge fan of retiring to my quarters
In this economy you'll be lucky to retire to your nickels
it never ceases to upset me when i follow a queer/trans content creator and then they randomly out that theyre transandrophobic. it just really fucking sucks
update: the person who this post is about (mathew g, cis gay guy who might have a little gender about him but hasnt made any confirmation) issued an apology on his story following deleting the post in question. for context, the post he made was a skit where the punchline was that trans men do not experience transphobia (while trans women do). heres the apology:
now i obviously understand any trans man who still isn't comfortable with following him (i unfollowed and will not be refollowing as a result) and there are a bunch of comments saying "post this on your feed, not just on your story" which are all valid, however, i really do appreciate this, and heres why. the apology isnt beating around the bush at all. hes not trying to justify his actions, hes not trying to say "BUT OBVIOUSLY trans women have it worse", hes not just backtracking, he is fully posting what he did, what he did wrong, and taking accountability
and MORE CREATORS SHOULD DO THIS. so many creators, usually non trans men, will post something wildly offensive and dismissive to the real experiences of trans men, and when trans men are upset by it, they will double down and get defensive, and say "well trans women obviously have it worse," "it cant always be about you," and some even go as far as to move away from the content that they had been making previously and become an account dedicated to hating trans men. and these arent just transphobes and terfs, these are other queer AND TRANS content creators who amassed a following by being trans friendly, and then come out with something thats at best dismissive and ignorant to the experiences and struggles of trans men, and at worst are saying that we are inherently evil for being trans men (theyll just say men, but we're men because we're trans and transitioned to male, so it is effectively hate because we are trans) and shouldnt exist and should detransition or die. and we as trans men dont know when we folllow a trans friendly content creator, even if theyre trans themselves, if they are actually friendly to trans MEN. because a lot of people who are hateful to trans men will paint themselves as trans friendly, and then conveniently wont talk about trans men at all. i had never see mathew g mention trans men in any of his videos before this one. im not a devoted fan or anything, he mightve at some point, but this was the first time i have ever seen trans men mentioned on his page and it was just ignorant at best
but i think more content creators who call themselves trans friendly, and then accidentally (or purposefully) post something that is wildly offensive to trans men, should do what mathew did. take down the post, post an apology to trans men that doesnt downplay what they posted and how it affects trans men, listen to trans men, and be mindful of the actual experiences of trans men before posting about us in the future. and if you dont have any friends who are trans men, DONT POST ABOUT US. and also you should think about why you arent friends with any trans men, but if you dont know anything about us, just dont say anything
so all this to say, i will not be following mathew g again after this, as i am still very uncomfortable with the whole thing and im sure a lot of trans men feel the same way, but i do want to use his apology as an example of what you SHOULD do if you accidentally post something that is offensive and dismissive to trans men. take it down and issue an actual apology. things like "but obviously trans women have it worse" and "i didnt mean it like that so im sorry if it offended anyone but i didnt mean it" should NOT show up in your apology. and definitely dont double down and start making content about how much you hate trans men

tbh think if ur gonna give the like button a trans flag animation you should like stop banning trans women en masse, among other things. like as a requirement.
i think there is something fundamentally wrong with me but that's okay
