Another NYC attraction that reopened this week (with new, temporary restrictions): The Edge, at Hudson Yards. The tallest outdoor observation deck in the western hemisphere allows you to view the entire New York City metropolitan area from the 100th and 101st floors of 30 Hudson Yards, which is among the top 10 tallest buildings in the United States. The Hudson Yards development still has more skyscrapers under construction, but has taken a hit during COVID like everything else. Its massive shopping center is set to reopen soon, but its flagship retail tenant, Neiman Marcus, has permanently closed, along with a number of other shops and eateries. NYC remains on PAUSE for another month. I have faith that our local leaders and our healthcare professionals have made the right calls here, and are working overtime to keep fighting this battle. I am humbled everyday by the work I see being done here in Brooklyn by everyone from doctors & nurses to grocery store workers to restaurateurs who made difficult shifts to take-out services to the delivery men and woman keeping us stocked up at home.
