This is a place for me to put up my readings about the British Royal Family and anything else that catches my attention. I do not do personal readings (sorry!), nor do I do readings on celebrities. Please don’t message me asking me to read on celebrity x or on a personal situation, as I will be unable to do so. However, please do feel free to message me to ask for clarification on one of my readings or to discuss them. If you like to troll or send hate, be warned that your message will be deleted and the sender will be blocked without notice. About Accuracy In Readings

When you read the tarot, you are reading the energies at a set time, in a certain place, for a set person. The results you get depend on both those energies and your interpretation of the cards.

Anyone can misinterpret their cards, for a variety of reasons (internal bias, tired, cold, hungry, not aware of all the facts around a situation, etc). This happens, and it can happen to anyone. No-one is immune from making mistakes.

In addition, energies change. The situation as you read on it may not be the same the next day, the next week, the next month, and so on. People change. Events happen. Perspectives change. We all have free will, and we utilise it. At any time the actions of ourselves and/or others can change a situation. Given this fluctuation of energies, the results of a tarot reading are true for the time it is read (barring any mistakes by the reader). They may not be true one day/week/month/year into the future. Similarly, due to the exercise of free will and the resulting fluctuations of energy, any future readings may show a different result to the initial reading.

Please bear this in mind as you read the interpretations below. They are for entertainment and speculation only. Nothing is set in stone until it becomes the past (and even that is subject to interpretation). The future is always in flux.

About My Deck

I use the original Mythic Tarot deck by Juliet Sharman-Burke and Liz Greene. The beautiful illustrations on the cards are by Tricia Newell. There is a revised version of this deck currently on the market, The New Mythic Tarot, where the cards are illustrated by a new artist (same pictures, different drawing style). I don’t know if the original one is still available to purchase.

Question: When Queen Camilla granted a royal warrant to British Jeweller Kiki McDonough, was it a subtle dig at Princess Catherine?

Note: I am pleased that Kiki McDonough was awarded a royal warrant in April 2026. I have no doubt that she deserves the honour. What puzzles me is why the royal warrant was granted by Queen Camilla instead of by Princess Catherine, given that a) Princess Catherine is known for wearing Kiki McDonough jewels (other royals wear them as well, but Princess Catherine is the royal associated with the brand in the public eye), and b) as per reported news, Princess Catherine was supposed to issue her first royal warrants in Spring 2026, which presumably could have included one to her favourite jewellery designer.

This is a one card reading.

1) It did not need so much media attention. Peter is not a working royal. He is the untitled son of Princess Anne who is 19th in line to the throne. Yes, it was lovely to see the wedding, but the media coverage seemed excessive and unnecessary to me. I'm not saying that it shouldn't have got media coverage, just that it didn't need that much media coverage (maybe it was a slow news week - who knows).

2) The 'humble NHS nurse' bride seems to have a need to portray herself as old money (using an 'heirloom Pragnell tiara' instead of 'we borrowed the tiara from Pragnell Jewellers', ditto the earrings).

You can't have it both ways. You can't be a 'humble NHS nurse' (i.e. a commoner) and be from old money.

3) The 'humble NHS nurse' also seems to have a need to create royal connections that do not, in fact, exist, such as saying that she used the same jeweller as designed Queen Elizabeth's engagement ring, when Queen Elizabeth's ring was made in 1947 or earlier (the engagement was announced in July 1947) and Pragnell Jewellers was founded in 1954, and also the saying that her wedding dress was made by Emilia Wickstead, a designer worn by Princess Catherine.

This attempt to link herself with the two most respected women in the BRF today - Her Late Majesty and HRH The Princess of Wales - is, in my eyes, and attempt to imbue herself with a royal status that does not exist.

This is giving me stalker vibes and Meghan Markle vibes.

4) On a purely personal level, I did not like the clothes of the wedding party. This is personal taste, and I am aware that others think otherwise. I liked the bridesmaid dresses except for the funnel necks, but I did not like the bride's dress. It looks 'off' somehow to me, and I can't put my finger on why - like it is 90% there but not 100% there.

5) Selling the wedding photos to whatever magazine it was seems tacky to me. I am aware that this is Peter Phillips's modus operandi, and to my mind it is just as tacky and dubious as him using his position as the son of Princess Anne in milk ads in China. The fact that the bride was happy to go along with it tells me she has the same sort of moral compass, i.e. she is willing to use her status as a (married in) member of the wider royal family for money. I expect a flood of 'telling it as it is behind the scenes' articles to follow.

Again, this is giving me Meghan Markle vibes.

6) In my completely biased and utterly old fashioned opinion, the bridal outfit was completely unsuited for a second wedding for both parties. I look forward to seeing many more fashion faux pas in her future.

All in all, I was not impressed. The only discretion shown was in having their reception at Princess Anne's house instead of at some luxury hall or hotel somewhere. Everything else is giving me 'attention hungry and money hungry' vibes.

Yes, I finally cleared space in my day-to-day life so I could sit down and post here (only a week later than I wanted).

I am very glad to be back and chatting to all of you again. :)

The Harkles uploaded some photos for their 8th wedding anniversary. Some of those pictures are pretty interesting such as the one with Harry appearing to be confronting or arguing with Maria (the Nanny to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis) on Harry’s wedding day.

I read your last post, and I do hope you are getting your new glasses shortly. In Canada we have Specsavers ( from the UK maybe??) and they usually have good deals., 2 pairs for $199 Cdn. Try to get a back up pair for emergencies. I gave to fill a script and I’ll make sure I get he special.

Something curious happened recently and I’d like to know what your cards think. Most tarot readers I follow seem to be deliberately ignoring the story.

Either the day of, or the day before the ‘successful’ US State Visit by C&C, news dropped that Camilla issued a Royal Warrant for the Jeweller of the brand KeKe. Now KeKe is what Catherine made famous by her preferring to wear these less showy piece, and she owns quite a few pieces. It would make sense that Catherine should issue the Royal Warrant for them. Camilla is only ever interested in Royal Jewels particularly Charles’.

My question is why was she being so bitchy towards Catherine? What’s behind this decision. My guess is that something big was denied her, something she really wanted, perhaps titles for her brats?

It just seemed very petty and mean spirited, almost bullying.

Thank you for your good wishes. We do have Specsavers here, and other low-cost optical stores, but the specials do not help me much as they don't cater for my specific needs. I need multifocal, ultra thin, ultra light lenses with a high prescription correction and astigmatism correction (my eyesight is awful) and UV protection film, and they do not come cheap. I would love to be able to take advantage of the specials but they rarely, if ever, extend to my specific lenses. I can't afford two pairs at once so I use my old pairs as emergency backups.

I saw that news about the royal warrant for KeKe Jewellers and I was surprised that Queen Camilla issued it, as the brand is so closely associated with Princess Catherine, who wears a lot of their pieces. As the royal reporters seem to only ever write glowing articles of praise about Queen Camilla, I think their silence on this matter is very telling.

Celta, I came across this interesting substack article written in 2024 by Alexandra Churchill, a historian who was granted access to read King George V’s private papers and letters in order to write her 2018 book “In the Eye of the Storm: George V and the Great War.”

It was very revealing in showing that King George V was far from being the tyrannical father he’s been portrayed in recent decades in books and films. In fact he was quite a loving father.

A lot of the King’s supposed negative conduct towards his sons was due to David’s “harsh criticism of his father came after his own abdication, when he had fallen out with his brother and was embittered about the (apparent lack of) free money he was being given.”

It’s amazing how David could get away with this 90 years ago in recasting his father as an uncaring ogre compared to today when there’s readily more information on members of the Royal Family for public consumption.

 I am glad that the historical documents show a different George V to that portrayed by his estranged and embittered son. I am assuming that the negative portrayal of King George V stuck due to 1) people enjoying the thought of him as a horrible person (either due to the drama it creates, the fact that they dislike the BRF, or other reasons) and 2) (this is the main reason) the lack of public evidence to the contrary at the time, as the private life of the BRF was and is just that - private - unless they choose to make it known to the public.

Thank you! I am the opposite of Her Late Majesty and Prince William - I put jam (and butter if I am very indulgent) before cream on my plain scones (date scones get just butter, as do pumpkin scones, with or without sultanas).

If that story is true, then my goodness, could Meghan spend any more of her time stalking and imitating Princess Catherine?! Also, there is a huge difference between adding a few fresh edible flowers to a dessert and drowning it in what looks like coloured dried woodchips.

Celta, this is a lovely 15 minute podcast interview with Prince William on the Isles of Scilly, talking about his wife and kids and the recent Aston Villa win among other things. I enjoyed it. :)

I believe the emails were sent in May 2020, after Andrew had stepped down as a working royal in Nov 2019, and they were sent to the Lord Chamberlain. Maybe the stepping back from royal duties was seen as what would have been demanded of Andrew anyway, in light of these revelations?

This was during Covid and the UK lockdowns, a year before Prince Philip died (April 2021) and Her Late Majesty was diagnosed with cancer (apparently the diagnosis was given in late April/early May 2021), just to put it in context. Also allegedly, The King was taking on more and more of the behind-the-scenes royal duties at this time, both in private and (from 2021) in public, as Her Late Majesty’s health failed, also for more context.

Charles/Camilla/Diana gossip. Part 2. I was curious why this info was coming out now after 4 decades. The answer was "Queen Elizabeth has passed on. There was a lot of things kept quiet out of respect for her during her reign." What was left unsaid - I think - was Charles doesn't have the same level of respect as Queen Elizabeth II did. It made me so sad for that hopeful 20-yr-old Diana in 1981. I wanted to give her a hug. Charles never gave a shit about his marriage to Diana from Day 1.

I think The King's attitude to his marriage to Lady Diana was obvious from his answer at their engagement interview - 'Whatever 'in love' means'. I also think that it is obvious in hindsight that he wanted to be married to have 'married status' in the BRF, and that he wanted a docile brood mare who would pop out the heirs he needed and not interfere with his other pursuits, including his mistresses. His valet has said that The King had to call Camilla Parker Bowles every day on his honeymoon with Princess Diana, so that also shows the level of respect he had for his wife, as does him having Diana 'inspected and approved' by Camilla Parker Bowles before he proposed.

I also feel so sorry for Princess Diana, especially in the early years of her marriage when she was in her early twenties. She was in an impossible situation and she did not have the tools to deal with it.

Neil Sean has disclosed in the video above that it looks like RAVEC has decided that Harry will continue to get security on a case-by-case basis and most likely have to notify 28 days in advance of his arrival to the UK as before for the foreseeable future.
