What The Hell Is StarF Listening To!?

I must be honest in saying that I haven't even completely listened to this album all the way through yet (I'm on the second to last song currently on my first listen), but it's pretty dang good from what I have heard! And I just know I'm going to be bumping it in the future. There's a very unique quality that I can't quite place. It sounds similar to some other artists I listen to, but it's definitely different enough to stand on its own in my mind. All in all it's just a very fun listen, so why not give it a chance?

I feel as though I should post more on this blog seeing as how it's recently had a random surge of followers. Anyway, this is what I've been listening to non-stop since it came out last night. A short little EP (15 minutes) from Whoremoans, released at the wonderful price of "YOU CHOOSE!" Naturally I got it for free, seeing as how I'm broke. Hah. Anyway, it really is a fun listen and worth checking out, especially since it's pretty short and doesn't cost anything. If you're a fan of Whoremoans, you're going to dig it, if you're still sleepin', it's time to wake up, and if you're not really feeling his past stuff, well you probably won't like this either. I love the pacing of the lyrics though and how fast all the wordplay and messages hit. I dig it.

Good god, this is a video so good that it's forcing me to post in this blog again. Wordburglar is back with a single from his upcoming album 3rdburglar, which finally has a release date (May 11th I do believe - at least that's when the CD Release show is). I've been hearing about both the album and this video for quite a long time now, and I was skeptical to see the video because it's been so long in the making that, well, it felt like it might have been over-hyped by the wait. But no, the wait was well worth it and after witnessing the video I can see exactly why it took so long. This is absolutely fantastic.

I think I actually posted just the song on this blog before, but now there's a fresh new video out for it! Watch and yearn for summer as this collection of emcees tears up this hot beat. This is your brain on sunshine.

Soulcrate Music is back with a new video and song! Just the act of me posting this is rather ironic. See, I'm posting this Youtube video to Tumblr, which auto-posts to my Twitter, which auto-posts to my Facebook. Why? Who cares, just keep sharing everything. That's precisely what this song is about. We are the first generation to be fully consumed by anything like the internet, and we don't know how to handle it. Where's my Thanksgiving snare!?

Simply put, this band is awsome. One of the most unique bands I know of at the moment, and I know some pretty unique bands. Okay maybe this song isn't the most unique of their stuff, but I do very much enjoy it. It's off their 2011 release (Which I just found out about despite it coming out in March) entitled The Anarchy And The Ecstacy. Definitely a little less sporadic than their previous endeavor Addicted To Bad Ideas, but a fun musical ride nonetheless. Perhaps the only punk rock orchestra I am aware of, The World/Inferno Friendship Society knows how to rock.

Doomtree is back with a brand new album, officially released today, and if you like rap in any capacity then you'd better believe this album is worth owning. So what are you waiting for!? Go buy No Kings right now! As for the video, it's a standard video. Doomtree is there, camera effects are there, graffiti is there, rap is there, watch it, listen to it, enjoy it. Bolt Cutter is definitely a standout track to me on my first few listens of the album. If you dig this tune, you'll definitely love the rest of the album! All I have to say is that it needs more Cecil Otter.

I just don't even know where to start with this. Okay, maybe with the fact that they call themselves a Quartet but there's only three members. But moving along, this song is exactly what it sounds like, an internet medley. There have been attempts at songs and videos like this before (Hell, this was very reminiscent of Weezer's "Pork & Beans" video), but this may be the best one I've seen yet - as well as the most modern. So if you like great music, and the internet, listen to this right meow.

I don't have too much to say, I listened to this on a pair of really derpy speakers. From what I can tell, it sounds pretty awsome! The real draw though is the video, definitely worth watching. What's up, entertainment!

Well it's the Darklord's birthday, so this seems an appropriate thing to post! Strangely enough I hadn't posted it before (I checked!), but better late than never I suppose. BBear is back for the third time this year with a release, this time simply entitled Nerdcore. A seven track release full of entertaining musical goodness. With songs that sample Nyan Cat to songs about just being too lazy to come up with a better song (Or an original concept, seeing as how Attack Slug already did that!), this is a fun album to listen to, and for free! Well, as long as I'm posting things late... Hah, this video is awsome, and is the first of a series of three from Front's newest album Solved. Thanks to an extremely successful Kickstarter fund, Front was able to make this video his most professional looking and polished yet. A fantastic song with a really fun video, powered by a loyal fanbase. What an excellent story.

Well this is already a little old and has made its rounds on the internet, but why not post it again, just for consistency. This is a song that I would probably otherwise forget if it wasn't for the video accompanying it. Yes indeed, the images in this video have now turned the song into something quite memorable, and I'm being honest. I actually grew to like the song more after watching this video multiple times because of the "What the fuck did I just watch!?" factor of it. And now when I hear the song my mind instantly defaults to "Oh god, here we go..." Indulge yourself in some weird.
