NGL the scale is very discouraging. I feel good! I feel like I'm doing a good job but it's seriously 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I need to take new pics and see if there's a difference.
5/25: 157.8
Okay so not going to lie, I'm pissed. I did everything perfect yesterday and the scale is up almost a whole pound. What the hell let's go! It's very discouraging but I'm trying to listen to Mandy and keep it as a data point and not let it affect me. I'm doing good and I feel good today. This one day does not mean I'm not doing everything right. I just need to stay the course.

Last week was a mess. I didn't meal prep my protein so I was eating a lot of box lunches coming off of the mother's Day weekend which was also my brother's fancy dinner out. So one cheat meal turn into three cheat days turned into an unprepared week and I was sitting around 158. This week I prepped a big batch of chicken. I've been counting my calories. I've been getting my fitness in every day getting my sleep, waking up and working out at 5:00 a.m. and I'm back down to 157 so hopefully we're back on the right track. I definitely recognize that if I don't prep I do worse so I need to make sure to have those big batches of protein prepared so that I can not eat those salty box lunches.
In non-food related things, I've been doing better again with taking my vitamins every day and flossing. I need to get the water picking back up to where it used to be but at least I'm getting a floss in like 6 days a week so that's much improved. I am getting a lot of fitness in which is great. I have my first triathlon in 2 weeks and my next road race two weeks after that and then two weeks after that is my first sort of deadline when our visitors come to town.
I'm trying to stay focused on my main goal of losing weight before my doctor's appointment in August, I'm a little discouraged that I'm still this high so close to that first deadline, but hopefully I can be really diligent this month I'll get my food prep and with the races I'll stay motivated. ✌️
Alright so Fri we had dinner with my sister, sat we had a kids bday and a really fancy dinner out, and today is mother's day 🙈. Took a three day pause from weighing and counting. Back at it on Monday. 46 days.

156.8! Trending lower! Counting calories everyday with the exception of last night's special dinner after a long bike ride. Getting my fitness in, getting my steps in, and most importantly, tracking and staying accountable. Even on days when I feel like I'm splurging, I'm still staying under or at the calorie goal the nutritionist gave me in October. I've hit my protein every single day! 49 days to go!

That's the two week goal. 2% lower than 159.6. doing good so far! All food has been tracked every day, hitting or staying below the goal from Oct. Protein is on point and I've worked out every day 💪 today was 157.4.
Cue the music, we're back!

Meals tracked.
Watch charged.
Clothes packed.
Praying for willpower.
I have goals. Tri on June 2 (30 days). Fam visiting June 30 (56 days) who will comment on my gains. Dr visit Aug 28 (116 days) who I promised I would lose for.
Goal: 153 by the tri (4% loss)
Goal 2: 148 by June 30 (~4% loss)
Goal 3: 140 by endo appointment (1.2#/wk average)
Well hey. What's one more try again.
The oct Nov challenge was great. I loved the lifting, list inches and about 5# but hated the meal tracking after about month. Now here we are in Feb and I've gained it all back. I am heavier now. 158 😞. I have a month til my brothers wedding and I have a half marathon in two weeks. I don't want to be this weight. My baggy shorts are tight. Why is this so hard?
If I can buckle down for a month I can be 150 for the wedding. My other bro lost 20# since Christmas, but he's alone and only focused on himself. I just would kill to be back at my "fat" 145 self at this point.
Trying to reframe the journey to one day at a time. One choice at a time.
Food journal, day -1.
I got all the new apps set up, sent in my start measurements and tracked my food today. It's a loose track, just easing into tracking with estimates. Tomorrow I will measure it as best I can. She gave me a calorie goal and protein macro to follow this week. No sign of the workout yet. I'm recovering from our poorly trained 10 miler, going for a walk today bc I feel like moving and want more steps but I'm really sore. My back and feet hurt.
Mindset wise, I'm feeling really positive. I can do this. I can commit to something hard for 60 days. This isn't cheap and it doesn't have a ton of coach contact but the weekly check in will be good and motivating. I'm a little afraid that I won't know the lifts but I think I can do it. The workout app looks intimidating. But I can read the how to and make it less scary. I'm reading the literature and listening to their podcasts. I really want to make this a lifestyle reset.

Unhappy but trying
Need to commit
I don't know why I am struggling so much
Nothing is working
I have to remember that I am making progress elsewhere. I've read more books this year than since highschool. I've become someone who flosses. I take my vitamins and put on my night cream. The habits are compounding but the big one is food choices and amounts. I know the problem I just refuse to let myself succeed.
Fix me then I can fix the rest.
Trying something new.
How to Get Over Past Mistakes
1. Remind yourself that everyone makes mistakes, does things wrongs, and has moments of regret. There are no perfect people out there. In that sense, you are just the same as everybody else.
2. Remind yourself that “that was then, and this is now”. You can’t turn back the clocks and change what you did, but you can be a different person in the future.
3. Allow yourself to experience and name the feelings you are struggling with (regret, guilt, shame, disappointment, embarrassment, sadness, etc.) – then make the decision to let those feelings go. In the end, it’s unhealthy to become attached to them.
4. Ask yourself what you can learn from the situation. What would you do differently if you found yourself in that situation again? How can it change the person you are now (so that you feel better about yourself)?
5. Recognise that failings and mistakes are part of the growth process. It’s inevitable that you’ll encounter obstacles, challenges and failures throughout life. Don’t let that stop you from really living life.
6. Remind yourself that “it was what you did, it’s not who you are.” Don’t allow any single event or experience to define you. You are more than – so don’t let that become your identity, or your destiny.
7. Give yourself the gift of a new day and a new start. Forgive yourself, let go of the past, and with confidence move on with your life.
