Is it electric?

Alright everyone, here is a thing I have wanted to write about today.

I want anyone reading this to go outside and take a picture of their car, because you never know when you wont be able to drive it next.

If it runs, drives, and is insured, take it out. Wash it and go for a drive. Go after work, stay up late, enjoy being in the thing you built with your own hands, your own blood, and your own money. It is so easy to be mad at your car and say how frustrated you are with it all the time, how you want something else, or how you think you should sell it and get something less exciting and more practical.

Once you dont have the luxury to enjoy it at your leisure you begin to remember why you worked so hard for it, the happiness it brought you, the escape from everything else that it provided. You hear a song and it brings back the memory of listening to that whole album at 3AM on I-5 after a weekend that was full of good company and a group of friends with the same passion and appreciation for the car you built with your own broken knuckles. 

So go out, take pictures of your soul, document the things you do. Don’t feel embarrassed to take pictures, do it for yourself. One day you might wish you had taken more.
