Every Single Champion Is Lovable In Their Own Way
They're all unique from each other when it comes to designs, personality, jobs and how they battle. They have similarities now and then but each one feels distinct.
(I'm using their in game examples here!)
-Lance is basically our first ever Champion and he's shown to be strong, compassionate, determined. He's noble and honorable. He truly not only cares about the safety, rights, and wellbeing of PokΓ©mon but of younger trainers too. He looks out for them and truly is someone who is strong as a person and trainer. Under his his cool demeanor he's a good person who cares and wants what's best for people and PokΓ©mon. (There's a reason why people love the idea of him becoming a father figure for Silver)
-Steven is a huge nerd of rocks and I say that with love. He's a geologist who absolutely lights up when it comes to what he loves and can explain stones to you for hours on end. He's a strong trainer who seems like he'd also rather go back and look for more stones but takes his job as Champion seriously and responsibly. Some people consider him strange for this but he doesn't care. He loves geology, it makes him happy and he enjoys PokΓ©mon battles too, he just enjoys geology the most because it's his passion. He also apologizes that you have to be the one fixing things since he has to do his job as Champion getting others to safety when Grodoun/Kyogre awaken. (Maxie and Archie also apologize too I love that they all acknowledge it isn't fair to you but still encourage and support you as well as they can)
-Cynthia is elegant, her presence and look exudes mysterious but powerful. She also kind, determined supportive and a bit of a workaholic. What stones are for Steven, history is for Cynthia. She loves to research it, loves to learn about it and from it. She adores it and gets so wrapped up that she can leave a mess in her wake which one wouldn't expect for someone like her unless they truly knew her. She's someone that has that type of aura so strong and she can get so easily wrapped up in her studies that it's hard for her to make friends it seems besides a few. Yet to those she cares about she wants to be there and support them because she knows how much it means to have that support as well. She's there to help guide you and other trainers and does her best to take responsibility for what happens in her Region.
-Alder's such a chill guy. He feels like everyone's grandfather and has wisdom from being Champion for decades. He does what he can to try and stop Team Plasma and even when he fails to do that he helps you and Cheren as much as he can throughout. Not only that but if he sees someone personally struggling he's there to offer his support and guidance because he wants them to succeed and get the most fulfilling and happy their life with their PokΓ©mon.
-Iris is such a fun bubbly character who's also one tough cookie. She's a dragon trainer similar to Lance but with her own unique style and flair that's all her and is so much fun! She knows her life is a little different from others given she grew up around mainly Dragon Type PokΓ©mon, with them being her closest companions besides her grandpa Drayden. Yet she knows that doesn't matter because she loves her PokΓ©mon and family along with her friends too! She's open minded, extroverted and caring!
-Diantha is the embodiment of an elegance as a person, trainer and actor. She's so incredibly kind to everyone and tries to give her all for her fans because she wants to see them happy. Seeing people light up and be inspired by her work or characters she plays brights up her day and it's so sweet to see. She believes someone's inner shine is what makes them special and wants people to dazzle inside and out and that's a beautiful way to see things! She's also our first confirmed mother character and while she technically isn't Champion anymore I love we've been given a bit more to her story and her life!
-Leon is similar to Diantha where he wants to try and be a great Champion for the people of Galar, but more than that he wants to help others become stronger. He's more boisterous and silly compared to other Champions but he also has a huge heart for the people he loves. He puts so much pressure on himself because he wants you and Hop to enjoy your Gym Challenge, he wants to keep you all safe. Heck this man's first thought when he realizes that Eternatus is about to attack you all is send Charizard to protect you and Hop even if he has to take the brunt of the attack. He loves battles to a fierce amount, but he loves his family and friends more than anything and would do anything for them to be happy and safe. He's such a loving person. (And my fav Championπ)
-Geeta is similar to Cynthia being rather mysertious but also like Cynthia is a strong woman yet in her own way. She had to essentially restart the school with all new staff and Director after a disaster of epic proportions of awful staff and bullying. The School itself is the main hub of Paldea that reaches out across the region so it was important for her to help fix it. She had to create the Elite Four from scratch. She's a tough boss, but considering all she has done and has to do it's understandable. No one under here dislikes her personally (It's the equivalent of not liking your boss because they can stress you out and make you work hard, but it's a job you're doing and as long as they're not cruel then they're simply doing their job as being your boss) Yes Larry is doing double shift but Geeta also makes a special effort to look out for him because even without her input he tends to overwork himself. She does care about him and wants to ensure he doesn't burn out. Underneath the boss exterior is someone who can be rather silly and daydream to the point where the Elite Four feel the need to watch over her. It's a sweet found family dynamic they have. Plus, her friendship with Nemona is sweet when you take into consideration she seems to have a hard time connecting to others as well.
Some have their own problems and issues of course whether it be how strong they are compared to others or how they affect the story, but as characters they all have their own charms and things about them to love!
