Donnie: i have an idea/plan! his brothers: what exactly is i- Donnie:

under settings > account > time management > daily limits > shorts feed limit, set the daily limit to zero. when you hit your daily limit it then removes shorts from your app's home page entirely, so by setting the limit to zero it effectively wipes them off your home page altogether. this will also display a "you've reached your limit" message if you ever click the shorts tab by accident (it took about one second of video playing before it kicked in for me). from my testing, they do still appear in your subscriptions feed, and i haven't seen any come up in suggestions either.

and if you do want some shorts, there are still options for 15/30/45/60/120-minute time limits, and the above settings will kick in once your watch time has reached your set limit. this was apparently added some time late 2025/early 2026 with the zero-minutes option being added today-ish, but i never saw anything about it so maybe you didn't either. yippee sharing information
