the boy
today he and I texted for the entirety of our shift. Before this, our texts were very brief. today, however, we were texting literally nonstop all day at work and exchanging smiles any time we'd pass each other.
I take my break in my car every day. He came over to lean on my window and talk a bit before heading in. It was nice getting some face-to-face time hehe.
After lunch, we resumed our nonstop texting. we have similar tastes in movies and that was really nice to discover. It made up a big part of our conversations.
When I clocked out, I grabbed a cart and was waiting for my mom to send a grocery list. He had just clocked out and walked over to talk to me. All our coworkers that were walking past us kept giving us this cute smile lmao. I told him I was going to grab some groceries and he offered to shop with me 😭 there were many times where we'd just stop on one side of an aisle to talk because we were getting SO into it. We both opened up to each other about mental health stuff and it was kinda liberating finding someone who relates to a lot of OCD stuff that not many people understand. He kept telling me over and over again that he was so happy he decided to shop with me because he was really enjoying the conversation. Also he called me pretty like 2 or 3 times. I struggled to accept that compliment from him lmfao.
After shopping, he walked me to my car. It was windy outside and my hat flew out of my cart so he ran to get it for me 😭 he helped me put my groceries in the trunk and then we just sat in the trunk and talked for maybe 30 more minutes. We got too hot out in the sun so we decided to wrap it up. He gave me a big hug and held it for a second longer than he usually does, opened my door for me, and told me once more that he was glad we got to talk today.
We drove off at separate times but ended up next to each other at a red light. We rolled our windows down and still managed to talk even more before the lights turned green.
We continued to text for a few hours. It eventually stopped. 12 whole hours of just getting to talk. It was SO nice. Usually people at work interrupt when we're talking so getting a solid 12 hours of nonstop talking was like a dream.
I don't like to jump to conclusions but everything feels so good right now. I'm happy. Today was a wonderful day.
