The foliage along the bank of the Königssee has grown up quite a bit over the years, and though the small beach that Eva, her family and friends frequently visited can easily be seen from the other side of the lake, it is bloody hard to get to. There is no path leading to it (or the waterfall just above the beach, which also featured in a few scenes in Braun’s home movies), so you have to make the hike over pretty treacherous ground to try and reach it.
