i mean, it's not all bad, the budding wings (yet to grow strong or large enough to break through the skin of your back like cracking an eggshell tearing open all your layers, destroying the past you, leaving you red and raw, and flinging blood into the air and all around you making a mess of everything) do look really cute pressing into the not quite transparent layers of skin that still trap them. i mean they look really uncomfortable, but it's cute at least.

if you see hardware on yhe ground like a washer or a hex nut you have to pick it up because it’s lonely and scared. if you see any metal on the ground you have to pick it up because it’s alone and scared and lonely.

Dreamt of a large bar with a drinks system that involved ordering at one counter, walking across the room to another counter to pay, and then to another elsewhere to get your drink, which you then carried back to your table. You could only get one drink at a time. Very inefficient. But it turned out the bar was a kind of body, the patrons were unknowingly its blood, and this system effectively kept a constant flow moving around.

I kind of dig the idea of buildings using people as impersonally as we use blood. Does the heart care about the interior life of each blood cell? No, just move through me, sustain me, I live as long as you'll let me.
