~ A very useful guide that lays out terms & expectations for shipping. ~ The practicalities, costs, admin and hassle involved in a business shipping goods is no small thing. ~ E-commerce has set the precedent that shipping should be fast & free but for some businesses who don't do this at scale it's a bad model.  ~ This guide explicitly shows where the responsibility, cost & insurance lays between the supplier & the buyer.

For far too long I knew my website’s colours weren’t distinct enough but now I’ve finally done something about it. Chrome’s Dev Tools give you a nice curve showing that colours with good and bad ratios. These colours aren’t my ideal in terms of visual brand, but they are closer to an ideal for everyone who might look at my site.

Pretty pleased to have achieved a green padlock on my site. There was definitely some head scratching and swearing along the way so I'll publish my workflow sometime soon.

Creating technical debt in this way is fine, it’s an expected result of building at pace. We took a strategic decision to prioritise delivery in order to give the best immediate value to the taxpayer, knowing we would incur tech debt.
