"Ah, yes, it’s the strength of our divine passionate and overwhelming intimacy and by the cosmos — f a t e, really — that drew us both here today simultaneously to Honeydukes. Well, I see that our s y n c h r o n i z a t i o n has allowed us to be true romantics, and I have a confession — I was going to buy all of Honeydukes for you, as a grand gesture of adoration. Unless you think that wouldn’t be a large enough of a grand gesture?” Her smile couldn’t do anything but widen as she talked with him, a small laugh leaving her throat. “Oh, but of course we’ll have to write letter upon letter, detailing every moment we spent together. Make sure to detail about how my hair cascaded like a waterfall over my shoulders,” comically, she gave a slight hair flip then continued, ” and how my eyes shined in the light of hope that is our love. Am I missing anything?”
It was odd, how when around them all so many of their peers who were in their same position, betrothed, were so miserable. How there seemed to be so much drama regarding their marriages, but with Wes it had never been so. There weren’t many people Artemis could admit to thoroughly enjoying the company of, but Wesley Rowle was someone she’d be able to say she did without batting an eyelash. “Brilliant in every way and very attractive? It’s a grand shame you can’t be the one who marries him. Oh well, I’ll take your advice. But adequate doesn’t sound so nice, I’d like it to be more than adequate, but alas, with my presence around I suppose it’ll be more than adequate. Do you agree?”
"The entire store? Why, that is an amiable start. But for it to reflect the sheer magnitude of our ardent love, I believe the whole of Hogsmeade shall do. The number of places to ourselves, to host our numerous dates. I can't think of anything more desirable." Simply the exchange of sarcasm was enough to make the trip to Hogsmeade far more enjoyable. Wes ventured an amused smirk which played along his lips as their 'raillery', as he called it, continued. "How many metaphors, symbols and allegories must I include to do justice to our deep, dear affection? Shall I include the numerous Odes I have written addressed to you, perhaps a sonnet. I must not forget to express admiration for your lips, for what kind of composition would be complete without that?"
Playfully so, Wes linked his arm with Artemis', "But it is his mind I admire most of all, don't you agree? If it were allowed, I would wed that brilliant being in an instant. It is a wonder you haven't married him already, he is quite sought after. Of course adequate is not satisfactory for you, how could I expect it to be. You demand excellence, and nothing less. For argument's sake, I'll say that I agree. But I reserve judgement, until those vows are exchanged, at least. I assume you have written yours already in anticipation."
