what a joy it was to see Falsettos at LSU tonight!! first of all the band on stage absolutely killed it, they were AMAZING. the cast were equally as talented, i was blown away the entire time.

the person who played jason’s mom saw me crying before the show began (i was so excited lol) and talked to me for a bit and was so nice! then after the show, she introduced me to them which was amazing!!! they were all so nice.

through falsettos, the lives of the countless queer people lost to AIDS are not only memorialized, but their stories are honored, giving us a space to grieve the collective loss of life. he rarely receives the recognition he deserves for offering us that sanctuary, both for the people who lived through it and for those who were lucky to never get the chance to.

on a more personal note, i wouldn’t be the person i am today without his music, his works, his art. for the last five years of my life, his works have inspired me to create and live. may his memory forever be a blessing. and again, thank you william finn.
