the best few from today’s shooting. more at 500px. finally had a good, sunny day, which gave me a chance to see what that super-tak 300mm is capable of best-case. damn fine glass, so long as the light is cooperating.

trying out a new (well, new to me… circa 1965-’71) pentax super-tak 300mm around the marina and in the park. shots one, three, and five are a common loon (there are a lot of these moving up and down the river right now, as it’s the only open water around). shot four is a blue heron, while shot two is a (sneaky) downy woodpecker.

Just arrived. First native 4k release from Kadokawa. 復活の日 / VIRUS, from director Kinji Fukasaku in 1980.

Some quick phone shots from the just-released AGON blu-ray. Cropping / detail / color aren't entirely accurate, but should give an idea of what to expect. Disc is 1080i, but in the correct aspect ratio (pillar-boxed 4:3). Looks perfectly fine to my eyes, and arguably miles in advance of what this weird little monster miniseries deserves.
