Maybe exhaustion from fighting a frankly ridiculous mecha, that someone had had the brilliant idea of infusing with Lex Luthor’s consciousness 300 years from now, had gotten to Jon, because he was sure that he had hallucinated the words that had just left Damian’s mouth. But exhaustion-based hallucinations seemed like a problem that could either be solved or dealt with after the nap he had settled in for on the couch in the Fortress of Solitude.

So Jon replied with a joke: “Not tonight honey. I’ve got an early day tomorrow.” And turned to face the back of the couch in an effort to get some rest.

It was quiet for a few minutes, the sounds of Damian typing something into the supercomputer echoing through the icey hall. Then, Damian started to walk to where Jon was laying and reached down to where Jon’s phone had fallen on the floor. The silent tapping on the screen alerted Jon that Damian had been able to open his phone (which meant that Jon needed to change his password again). Jon opened one eye to peek up at where Damian was standing in front of the couch and complained with as much irritation as he could muster through the fatigue: “Seriously, can’t this wait?!”

“Of course,” Damian replied while turning the phone screen to face Jon, “that is why I have set up a meeting for us to discuss this on Wednesday.”

And matter of fact, there it was. A single, blue block from 2:30 to 4:00 pm in Jon’s calendar with the words in bold letters: “FAMILY PLANNING”.

As for the premise: essentially Damian asks Jon to start a family completely platonically (the platonic part fails spectacularly)

I was thinking about what circumstances could lead to the conception of Alfred Wayne(-Kent lol) and how it would come about after we talked about the super sons children/grandchildren last year (which btw i am so fucking slow at writing as you can tell by how little i have for this one 😭 i promise some day this will be a full story!)

I don’t care what Goodbye and Goodwill said, these are my art headcanons based on the movie, Pascal’s Story, and Painter’s Block lol.

What if he heard the old stories of ancient mythology and knew there was a different way to get a soul back from death? I mean, Wonder Woman was literally created with the help of Zeus, and she's real, so that means the Greek gods must be as well.

Instead of obsessively researching cloning, ge researches music. He learns every song of old, learns how to play the lyre, learns everything he needs to get Kon back. He exhausts his resources, and when one person has run out of things to teach him, he finds someone new and continues.

All this to say, when Tim arrives in Greece to play his song at a crack in the ground, it opens for him to allow another generation to fight death itself for their love once again.

Batman: -the main priority is to ensure the safety of the surrounding area even in the case of a fight, so we’ll have people stationed around the perimeter just in case. Hood, can you grab me the signal flares from the store room? you’re closest.

Red Hood, walking over: *grunts*

Batman: *continues to explain his plan as in the background Jason walks into the store room, pauses, and then promptly walks right back out*

Red Hood: *sweetly, from the doorway* Robin?

Robin: mm?

Red Hood: would you like to go into the store room for me? my darling, favourite brother-mine?

Robin:

Robin, eyes half-lidded: is there a spider in there?

Red Hood: maybe.

Robin, sighing in exasperation as he starts walking over: you really need to start trying to deal with these yourself, Hood. you can’t call me every time-

The Flash, watching Damian emerge with a small spider in the palm of his hand while Jason refuses to come out of the corner of the cave: doesn’t that guy chop peoples heads off sometimes…?

*Aquaman, on a mission with Nightwing and Batman, on a platform in the middle of the ocean*

Aquaman: if you have your rebreathers then you can follow me down, it’s not too deep a dive to the site.

Nightwing: *staring into the water* mhm.

Batman: *watching Nightwing in amusement*

Aquaman: …Nightwing, are you ok?

Nightwing, still staring: oh- hm? yep. yep, i’m good. i’m- yeah. lets go. lets do this.

Aquaman:

Batman: he has thalassophobia. he doesn’t like deep, empty waters.

Aquaman:

Nightwing: *staring down*

Batman: *faux shoves Dick forward, as if to push him in*

Nightwing, shrieking and jumping back: bRUCE- I TOLD YOU NOT TO DO THAT-

Red Hood: so what actually happened to the guy?

Superman, as Tim leaves: well, it seems like the virus infects the mind and causes intense delusions. we think he was driven crazy and ended his own life. it’s… not pretty in there. he stabbed himself in the eye with a pencil.

Red Hood: *whistles* *pauses* wait. in the eye?

Superman: yeah. why?

Red Hood:

Red Robin: *slams out of the other room, falls to his knees vomiting*

Superman:

Red Hood, watching Tim calmly: yeah he’s got this thing about things in peoples eyes?

Superman:

Superman: really?

Batman: *grunt*

Green Arrow: who’d you fight to get it?

Batman: Robin.
