Another character design thing about Home that makes me upset is Lucy’s design. Because she looks like she’s the same color as her daughter. That woman is supposed to be Italian, and Tip is supposed to be half black! She should be darker than her mom, why are they the same color??? Let the half-white kids have some rep man, we don’t get much.

Mary Christmas post of the day.
Something really stressful happens, and Tip starts muttering under her breath. Grace moves closer to listen and she’s saying Hail Mary’s in both Italian and English. However, the first thing he hears is the start of the english one so he is briefly confused why she’s saying, “Hail Mary, full of Grace,” and think she’s talking about the ship.

Someone asked for more daredevil Rocky, so here you go!
I referenced in the tags of my first post that this could go one of two ways, one with Grace as a fellow superhero, and one with him as a civilian best friend, essentially being the Foggy to Rocky’s Matt.
Whether Grace is Foggy or not, I don’t think Rocky would want to be a lawyer, nor would Grace, but I could see them both as teachers. Grace with a phd in Molecular Biology teaching junior high science, and Rocky with a phd in Aerospace Engineering teaching the engineering class next door.
Rocky hearing Grace’s heartbeat approaching him, and then he realizes, hey wait a minute, why is he swinging through the air. What is happening. And then Star-Spider lands next to him, with Grace’s heartbeat also right next to him. Upon making this discovery, he tells Grace who he is the very next time he sees him. Because Rocky does not care about his secret identity when it comes to his best friend.

So, looked back through the Smekday book and was reminded that this is an actual quote from Gratuity in the third section.
“‘I’m Gr…Grace,’ I said. I didn’t feel like having that conversation.”
So now I’m imagining Gratuity not wanting to have the whole, “Wow, that’s a weird name for a little girl” conversation, introducing herself as Grace, and Grace saying, “Oh hey, me too! That’s a funny coincidence! :)” To which Gratuity immediately goes, “Ok, nevermind I was lying”, because dealing with that would be more exhausting than just being told her name is weird. Grace doesn’t call her name weird, all he does is just say, “oh, ok” and move on. He has significantly more of a reaction to Jennifer Lopez the Boov.
I’ve seen the Star-Spider PHM au, and I have a thought. Love Rocky as Grace’s guy in the chair, but consider. Rocky as Daredevil.
Yes this came from me watching Daredevil: Born Again while deep in the throes of my Project Hail Mary hyper-fixation, what of it?
Grace walks into the lab to see Gratuity sitting on the floor, a box of raw spaghetti on the floor next to her, and a single half-eaten noodle hanging out of her mouth. He asks what she’s doing and her response is to take the noodle out of her mouth, hold it up, and say, “Spaghetto.”
“…You mean spaghetti?”
“No,” she says, holding eye contact and biting off a piece. “Spaghetti is plural. I’m Italian, I know the language.”
“You’re Italian?”
“Half, yeah.”
Two earth hours later, Rocky finds them both, still sitting on the floor, eating a spaghetto each.
To add to this: Gratuity is eating the spaghetti as one would expect it, biting it into smaller pieces. Grace, the freak that is he, eats it by scraping off layers with his teeth until it’s thinner than a hair and biting off the thin bit, before continuing to shave off the outer layers where it’s thicker.
