2019 has been a tough year for my wee shop. It has been much harder than I thought to get sales back to how they were before I took 2 years off to film The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and Derry Girls 1&2. I obviously wouldn’t trade my shop hiatus for the world, I am so proud of what I achieved ~ but it does feel a bit like Etsy is punishing me for being absent for so long 😅 So I’m still grinding away... and so so far from reaching the stats and sales I was achieving 2 years ago. I actually designed this little pin whilst filming a TV show! I often wear fitness leggings when puppeteering. We do some extremely gymnastic positions ~ trust me you need the movement 😅😂! And it had been suggested to me (for the hundredth time in my life), that I was dressing 'sexy' to impress boys.... 😒😪 Lad, I could not be less interested in what you think, I'm at work seriouslyyyy. I'm covered in mud and sweat, with a billion things to remember and focus on, let me just exist please without sexualising meeee😩. ANYWAY, I hear this kind of thing plenty... in many walks of life not just work. And many of my friends do to. This one incident didn't inspire the pin by itself but I guess you could say it was the tipping point!
