A blurb for this piece: Where Sulien is dawn, the new beginning, the start. Lleuad is the end- the dusk. Bring down the sun, and the moon-rise will follow; heralded with a chorus of screams.

Art block isn't common for me, but every now and again it rears it's ugly head. One practice to help break out of such funks is drawing random shapes and turning them into faces. Well, I'm a try hard. And tried putting figures inside them. It kindaaaaa ended up being a "very specific" kinda practice, but I'll take that as a win lol. Not the best figures. But perfection wasn't the goal. Jump-starting the mind was!

Happy pride month! Inspired by the vore enthusiasts in my life, and my recent exploration of tarrot cards: I made this as my pride piece! "Glutton for Love" Had a lot of fun exploring a highly saturated approach to this piece! And really trying to lean into a hard line style. I love how this turned out! Maaaaby over time I'll make a whole deck lol

Trying clean line art again, and once again I find myself not enjoying it. Perhaps I need to change my approach? I like the classic comic styles, and I did try somewhat to implement that in the line accents. However I fear that if that's truly the direction I intend to go, I need to fully commit to the style. Hatching and all. Or perhaps my inking skills are just insufficient at this point. Despite this, I do find the current product acceptable. Even if I don't like some of the choices made thus far.

Something about muscles and a bunch of eyes… it scratches an itch. Meet Lleuad of dusk, Sulien's alter ego specialized for combat. Still a WIP!

Taking a break from being the DM has been great! Nice to relax a bit, and make a funky lil guy! This is Plash! (Think onomatopoeia for lightning!) Shipwrecked on a deserted island and raised by his to a mere age of five by his aged nanny, plash was left alone on the island at a young age. Plash learned the rules of the jungle, and learned of the world and magic from the books aboard the ship. Teaching himself to read and speak (if with the quirk of a 3rd person speech pattern), and use the most basic of magic through experimentation. Eventually, the island becomes boring. Until a passing merchant ship moors itself in the bay. And after cautiously being welcomed aboard by the anxious crew, Plash takes his first steps into the world all the adventures he read about. Their heading? A mysterious place called saltmarsh.

This was an art piece I meant to be a quickie but quickly became a very fun full project! Really let me apply the shading and light logic skills I've been learning! This character belongs to my friend dfreid! He started off as their rough sketch and description, and I never imagined the joy I'd find bringing someone else's character to life. To take their vision, that slice of themselves only see, and hand it to them fully formed. It's rewarding. OH! Almost forgot- The character's name is Nephkala!

I wasn't satisfied with the tail, so I changed it up :D I'm really enjoying this piece! Though I think I could do with more restraint in how much muscle is visible.

Progress post on another drawing of my sona, Sulien! Also an excuse to study some anatomy! Muscles in legs and arms are still a bit unfamiliar. :3 For adult sauce (in the future) go here!

Really having a lot of fun with my boi now that I got his design nailed down XD This is just some basic sketching of the pose for now :3 Also, while it might not seem it due to a lack of comparative reference, Sulien is actually like 9ft 3in tall. So needless to say finding clothing in the right size is a bit of a chore. Though making your own cloths can have it's benefits! I really want to experiment with fabric this go around, so expect some tasteful alts of different clothing combinations :] And perhaps some more tantalizing alts. ITS DOOOOONE 🥳 I had no idea what I was doing when it came to the fur texturing, but overall I think it achieves what I needed it to XD I also think the texturing was on just waaaay too small a scale. It took forever. Or maybe I just need to practice and know what I'm doing to move faster 😂 I really love how this came out though!

EMOJIS! Felt realllly sick today. So no big progress on anything. But I wanted to at least put this doodle on the board since I've always wanted stickers of my sona but never felt comfortable enough with the design to do so.

An update on this wip! The work continues and I'm flying by the seat of my pants as I try to pull volume from values alone. It's actually quite fun! I'm learning a lot, and actually applying what I've been learning in my college classes. XD

HAHAHAHA! I AM LOVING THIS! Still really nervous about the backlighting and rim light. But the boi is coming together! There's a lot to do but progress is progress!

The sketch stage! This is usually where my "Shiny Object" phase comes in unfortunately, But I REALLY like this idea Sulien being backlit by his own hair. I may make an impact frame version just because the composition is perfect for it! I really don't know what the next step is after this, as I've never made an illustration with the elements I wanna put here. So this may take some trial and error! Exciting but daunting~ :3
