Find your way

He unconsciously raises his hands as if surrendering, shaking his head. “That’s alright. I understand. You keep holding the thing— I mean the baby. You know… So I’m Kyungsoo, nice to meet you?”

"Right, yea... sorry. Nice to meet you too." Jongin raked his gaze along the other's figure, taking in all the ink and various piercings that were exposed. "Your tattoos... " He began, not sure exactly what to say in compliment. "I, ah, I like them..." He finally blurted. 

Kyungsoo observed the other, his nose crinkling a little at the sight of the baby. Always finding himself awkward around anyone of a younger age, especially babies. “Hey there… Uh, cute kid?”

"Oh, ah... thanks." He replied, glancing down at his baby before looking back up at the other. He pursed his lips into a thin line, unsure what to say. He stared for a few long minutes before clearing his throat and nodding his head in greeting. "So, I'm Jongin... I'd shake your hand, but you know. Mine are kinda occupied." 

Jongin looked upjust in time from his arms and the small baby clinging to his shirt to see the other turn and catch the last bit of his words. "A-ah, hey..."

"But still…I want to," she mumbled. "I’m bothering you for something." She really appreciated him taking the time to help her. She jumped a little when he took her wrist. "A twenty-four hour pharmacy? How convenient." She looked up at the male. "Hm? Used to buy…?" She wanted to press him further but decided not to. At the tug, she followed the him to the pharmacy. "Oh, I’m Luna by the way…thank you for helping me."

"Nothing, just stuff." He brushed of the comment, shrugging lightly. Ducking his head lightly in response before offering up his name as well. "Jongin, it's not a big deal. I needed something to do, ah... distract me." And he ducked his head again, this time in embarrassment, choosing to stare at the sidewalk instead of meeting her gaze. 

Luna looked up at the male and felt something was off about him but she couldn’t pinpoint it right now. She nodded. “Yes, the pharmacy. I want to get medicine for my headache.” She noticed his uncertain tone. Did he know where one was? Under the assumption that he didn’t know where one was located, she was about to tell him “nevermind” and wander off to find one but then he agreed. She gave him a small smile. “Thank you. I’ll be sure to pay you back for helping me.” 

"Its fine, you don't have to pay me." He answered her quickly, because it really wasn't necessary. And he forced a small smile on his lips as he reached to take her wrist. "There's a pharmacy that's close by, one that's open twenty-four hours. I used to buy dr-- uh, stuff there." He cleared his throat and nodded his head, glancing up the dark sidewalk. "Well come on then." He mumbled, tugging her lightly in the direction of the pharmacy. 

Luna rubbed her temple with her right hand to ease the painful pounding sensation in her head though it really didn’t help. She needed something, anything, to get rid of the pain so she wandered her way to the pharmacy. Would pills even helped her? She didn’t even know or care as long as it helped a little. The task would have been easier if she didn’t have this head-splitting headache so she decided to take a “shortcut.” “Excuse me…” She approached the first person she sees. “can you please take me to the pharmacy?”

"U-um..." Jongin blinked quickly in surprise. Looking up and down the street, he took note how it was only the pair. "The pharmacy...?" He asked, tone unsure and a bit confused. He grew quiet, looking over the other, she was shorter than him, pretty face, though she did look to be in quite an uncomfortable state. "I suppose I could." He answered after a long minute. This was still 'getting out and socializing' like he'd been instructed to do by his roommate of sorts. 

A bright smile made it’s way to her lips as she looked over at the phone and her eyes landed on the little baby. “Awh, she is beautiful! You’re very lucky!” She looked at him, “are you married?”

The tiny smile of natural fatherly pride quickly dropped away at her question. He looked down, slowly lowering his hand to rest in his lap. "I... ah, no. I'm not-- She isn't-- I'm a single father." He finally decided on, finding it easier than saying that the mother had passed away or that he was alone. 

Taking a seat next to him, she still put some distance between the two of them before looking over at him, sapphire hues taking in the male in front of her. “S-screaming baby? Are you a father?” She smiled softly.

He hummed with a nod, fiddling with his phone for a minute before proudly displaying a picture of himself with a small bundle o pink blankets in his arms, the head of a little baby poking out of the fuzz. "Her name is Soojin."

When she realised he had moved over to allow her to sit, she bit down on her lower lip wondering if she should take him up on that offer. “I-I… if you were busy, I can always leave you be?”

"No, no. I'm not busy." He insisted, waving his hands in front of himself. He patted the spot beside him for a moment, but quickly stopped, not wanting to seem pushy. "I was, just.. ah having some get away time. Without a screaming baby..."

Pursing her lips together, she felt a little guilty for disturbing him—perhaps this wasn’t the best idea. She didn’t want to bother him if he wasn’t in the mood for company. When she heard his small introduction, she nodded her head, “I’m Chan, i-it’s nice to meet you.”

"It's nice to meet you too- I, uh. Here!" He scooted himself over on the bench, a bit too quickly as he almost toppled off, to give her some room to sit down. "Sorry, you caught me a little off guard..." He explained a bit sheepishly, looking away in embarrassment.
