i love how they share a few similarities while also vastly different especially in how they view themselves and each other. bottle believes she could help others since she successfully did so with milk and flashlight, and perhaps with what plasma ball is dealing with, looking out for her wouldn't be any different.

however, plasma thought otherwise, thinking the former only wants to help to atone for her wrongs and that their struggles are not the same. this caused them to butt heads in the first place.

one thing they do share in common is that things don't end well when they let their anger take over. plasma ball unintentionally causing her friends' elimination while bottle literally becomes destructive towards herself and others.

there's an existing trope called lightning/fire juxtaposition and i like to interpret these two as that, with pb being lightning and bottle being fire (ik this is a foul conclusion to go for but bear with me here).

lightning is fast and direct. plasma ball is already struggling with anger management, so it doesn't take much to set her off.

fire takes time to build up. bottle was normally composed at the start, but the game is slowly affecting her and turning her irrational.
