- Captured SVRC awards ceremony for a friend of mine.

4/30 - Captured another Sunday of members at a church for their church directory.

Tomorrow I plan on attacking one of my photo challenge books, which the dice picked for me, with hopes of doing the 52 weeks challenge. I may tweak things as I go, but I am going to use this to help me fuel my passion and see where it takes me.

Tumblr went through a bit of an apocalypse because of the porn being removed. While I don’t share porn or take porn, I have been dealing with absolute chaos in my personal life.

I am a year behind in processing my SCA images and I am honestly doing my best to catch up. So please hang in there. I am actually planning on some major changes and hoping to remember to share these things on this platform.

It’s been a while and many false starts. A few really bad things happening to me... as in me being told that there was a King that was “considering” not allowing me to take images at events. All because I did a Cease and Desist when a member was trying to make MY images property of a barony. But in the Kings eyes, I was holding the kingdom hostage and basically a terrorist. So all my images from now on will be watermarked. Any removal or cropping of the water mark off my image without credit back to me I will take as intentional theft and I will persue you. This is your one and only warning. Because of that incident, how people treat me is completely negative when I have always prided myself on my ethics. SO now, I once did this for the people... now I do this for me. This is what happens when people can’t play nice. Karma then came along and wiped 120,000 images (6 years of my SCA photos). I am not happy. Other than that... a death in the family and my home is in turmoil for other reasons. yeah. Seeking peace again and not sure where it is at this point. So no empty promises, not really any promises... just that I am trying.

When you pick up a sword for the first time you will be slow and awkward. This is frustrating, but refuse the temptation to try and become a “faster” fencer. Chasing after speed is like trying to catch smoke. If you try and pursue speed, all you will accomplish is haste. Haste is the enemy of 1st class fencing.

Speed is a lie the untrained mind tells itself when it sees an action it cannot follow. The truth is a combination of timing, control, and fluidity. Fluid motion, even done slowly, will always arrive before a hasty strike. Control will allow you to move without wasteful motion that will slow you down. Timing will eliminate the need to move fast almost entirely. There is no need to get somewhere fast so long as you get there at the right time.

Every Day Matters Photo Challenge

I have been totally drawn into the idea of zines. While I am still learning and discovering how I will apply it, I can still practice on things for me.

I made the “Every Day Matters” into a little zine I can carry around with me to watch for and check on the items in the list.

I also edited out the words ‘draw and/or paint’ and corrected capitalization accordingly.
