Wayne shot Althea a funny look. "Already? Man, you girls don't waste any time at all." He chuckled and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hope you don't, I don't know, fall on anything." He gently shoved her, making sure she didn't actually hit the ground.

Another party. This time Freddie thought he’d get a bit more involved. So he had a cup of something in his hand. It tasted alcoholish. And he was pretty tipsy already. He pushes past someone “I’m sorry dude!”

"You're fine man. Just don't spill that on me." Wayne laughed and nudged Freddie playfully on the shoulder. "It's nice to see you tonight though. You never seemed like the party type to me. Maybe I was wrong."

Probably. It just wouldn't be the same.

Big and bad enough to always beat me at wrestling when we were kids. Or maybe I'm just a wimp. But thats not the point!

"No- no, You were being a good friend and I was just- well a bitch about it" she kept her eyes down, she wasn’t particularly fond of conflict of any sorts.

"El, please." Wayne moved his hand from get arm to her back and began to rub it softly. "Don't say you were a bitch, you were just upset. I can understand that." He turned his head away briefly. Thanks to her, he was upset too. He wasn't sure if it was seeing her so sad or the way she treated him or both. He just knew it took a lot to bring him down.

  Well, I mean, I don’t blame you

Well no, personally I haven't been struck by tragedy yet.

No, this can't be happening. I'm sorry Toby, but it seems we're experiencing the Great Pencil Crisis of 2014.

She opened the door to see Wayne laying face down on the floor, she was torn between laughing and helping him. She ended up laughing and hurrying to his side  ”And how did you manage this?” she smiled lightly and helped him up, and sat down on his bed. 

Wayne got up with his friend's help and sat next to her. "I thought I was farther from the edge of the bed than I actually was." He cleared his throat and scratched his nose. "I turned around to get the door for you but instead I ended up on the floor. Don't tell me you're surprised." A small smile appeared on his face as he gently nudged Elouise.

Oh my gosh. That must be so awkward. I mean, I have those problems, and I still think it’s awkward. I wouldn’t even know what to say.

It was by far the worst family dinner I've ever been to.
