Oof I’ve been here for over a year so I think I should make an introduction post
1! I go by WaxxenCapri but you can also call me Waxxie or Waxxien for short!
2! My DNI criteria is pretty so simple and basic so I don’t really know what to put here! If you do not pass my vibe check I will just block you and save us all the trouble!
3! I am rather picky when it comes to reblogs! If anything slightly clocks to me as reblog bait it is going straight to hell! I am cool with tag games though, I just won’t tag anyone myself.
4! Now to actual info about myself! I write fanfiction in my free time but I don’t post it anywhere atm, I also draw and post my art on Peach-Peony-Cookie and stimboards on raindrop stimmies! (I’m too lazy to tag either of them but I believe in your ability to find it)
5! My main fandoms are Cookie run, X files, Murder she wrote, some branches of scp, Junji Ito, Dredge, Fringe, Wambu, Precure and plenty of indie things that I don’t have the space to list.
6! I use the tags anger posting and complaint posting when I go insane mode so beware. Also anything tagged under Fanfictionista tips is probably full of rage!
7. I am quick to anger and confrontation and am bad at detecting jokes. Beware when interacting!

I’ve been writing a timeloop fic for a while now and it’s been pretty tough to keep on killing my guy in different ways because humans are surprisingly durable so I’m compiling a list of the ways people can die and how much force on average it takes.
*Note, writing this was very depressing, I think I’m going to do a couple more poisons before I write about another direct method.
I have not found any alternative names for strangulation, sometimes words like “choking” or “asphyxiation” will be used interchangeably but strangulation has a very specific meaning that neither of them quite capture.
Overview:
Strangulation is a form of murder and or manslaughter that involves the perpetrator applying a dull force to the victim’s neck in order to make them unable to breathe.
Why Does It Work:
Although when most people think of strangulation they think of the fact that the victim cannot breathe and while that is a main component of strangulation there are three total effects that come from strangulation.
The first thing in your neck is probably air (or some sort of air equivalent) which you of course, need to live. Why this happens is quite self evident as the only passageway in the body for air to travel through is being closed off, preventing the air from getting anywhere including the victim’s brain or lungs which can cause them to pass out and eventually die from asphyxiation.
The second thing that’s located within your neck is probably blood which you also desperately need to live. Unfortunately the arteries in the human neck are quite weak and have no bones to back them up and prevent them from experiencing maximum squishing meaning that the circulation to the victim’s brain can be easily blocked causing them to pass out and further lower the amount of oxygen that’s getting to the brain.
The third thing that’s probably within your neck is nerves! The nerves within the neck are incredibly sensitive to outside pressure which can also contribute to the victim passing out sometimes even before their air or circulation is actually cut off.
What does an average strangling look like:
Strangulation is a rather slow method of murder as well as a risky one as there’re many false positives along the way. It takes around seven to ten seconds for the victim to pass out on average which may sound short but actually gives the victim a notable period of time to fight back, if the victim is a similar size to the attacker and has their legs or arms free they have a pretty high chance of escaping unless they have exhausted by some other means. Even if the victim is let go immediately after passing out they will still be very confused. It can only take a minute of being unconscious due to strangulation to start experiencing permanent brain damage that can lead to physical and mental impairments. People can also die within one minute of strangulation but it can take much longer if the victim is very healthy or has naturally large lungs.
When do people strangle:
Strangulation is a very personal act that notably takes time, leaves behind evidence and puts you in incredibly close proximity to the victim, it is almost exclusively used in either domestic abuse or unpremeditated crimes of passion. Although it may take a while to strangle someone to death the stranglers perception of time may be warped meaning that even if they are not strangling to kill or to permanently injure both of those things can still happen. Do not strangle anyone, it is not safe. You cannot see your own or someone else’s throat and lungs from outside of their body.
There are many ways to strangle people both with and without a weapon, but on average strangulation is often unpremeditated (as an adrenaline rush of sorts is often required), done against healthy victims (suffocation takes less energy and works almost identically but only works on people already incapacitated) and is done by healthy perpetrators (strangulation is not easy).
There are cases of premeditated strangulation to kill however, in those cases the perpetrator often brings a weapon like a rope or convinces the victim to wear something like a necklace or a scarf, anyone who premeditates a murder by strangulation is absolutely batshit there is no way around that. Mostly likely this kind of person would be violent before hand, known the victim for a long time and have probably threatened specifically strangulation before.
Ways to resist strangulation:
If a victim knows that they probably will be strangled but aren’t being strangled yet removing all accessories on the neck gives the strangler less leverage. In a similar vain it is also ideal to get as far away from any rope-esque objects as like charging cords and blankets. It also may not be the first choice for your perpetrator but if strangulation suddenly stops being an option they will probably pivot to suffocation so avoiding things like pillows or any water is also a good idea.
When it comes to attacking the perpetrator strangulation makes them uniquely vulnerable as they can only keep their victim literally at arms length. A knee or foot to the genitalia will probably throw off all but the most determined of stranglers, however if your victim is too short to pull of such a move there are more defensive strategies like scrunching one’s neck, entering a fetal position and covering the exposed neck with their own arms.
If the strangler has any demands it is probably wise to comply with them unless the victim has reason to believe they will kill them anyways. It is only recommended if the perpetrator loosens their hold both to appear more compliant and to not waste energy when the victim cannot escape/has much lower chances of escaping.
Symptoms?:
Strangulation technically has “symptoms” but most people (including me) would call them something like tells or signs.
The most obvious ones include visible damage to the neck, bruises in the shape of fingers or a rope are the most telltale signs of strangulation out there.
Strangulation can cause Petechiae to form, if you had never heard of Petechiae before you are not alone I have been obsessed with killing this one guy for four years at least and this is the first I’ve heard of them. From what I can tell it’s a minor spotty skin discoloration that looks like a rash and be caused by anything from rope burn to leukemia but apparently it can be gained from strangulation reliably. They aren’t itchy, they don’t hurt and they aren’t directly harmful.
As it is a form of damage to the neck the relatively harmless symptoms of coughing, difficulty swallowing, hoarseness and pain in the neck and the more dangerous symptoms of difficulty breathing, a complete inability to swallow and coughing up blood.
Like most forms of forced unconsciousness strangulation has the unfortunately embarrassing symptom of unwanted disposal of bodily waste, this may cause someone to get rid of their clothes despite them containing valuable evidence.

I’ve been writing a timeloop fic for a while now and it’s been pretty tough to keep on killing my guy in different ways because humans are surprisingly durable so I’m compiling a list of the ways people can die and how much force on average it takes.
Other names include: Acute Radiation Syndrome, Radiation Sickness Radiation Toxicity.
Respective Doctors: Critical Care Medicine, Hematology, Emergency Medicine.
How to obtain: An external, penetrating dose above 0.7 GYs or 30 rads within a short period of time (seconds to minutes) for dangerous doses, the more parts of the body are exposed to rads the more likely one is to develop Radiation Poisoning.
Simple Overview:
There are several kinds of radiation poisoning that scale in intensity based on how much radiation the victim received but they all follow the same four step structure. #1 is the Prodromal Phase which appears as standard queasiness at low levels and a severe but common illness at high levels with symptoms like queasiness, nausea and general reports of feeling bad, #2 is the Latent Phase where most if not all symptoms go temporarily dormant though the victim is still being damaged, #3 is Manifest Illness when every symptom that that level of radiation poisoning has to offer appears, #4 is recovery or death where the victim makes a slow recovery that takes two weeks at the minimum up to possible years or dies of the many complications that have arisen from their poisoning.
The research on radiation poisoning is rather sparse due to its rarity meaning that there are some contradicting accounts on what symptoms may occur, nausea and rapid cell death are agreed on as being a the most common symptoms but others symptoms may include: hair loss, low blood pressure, blood in waste and vomit, headaches and infections due to a now weakened immune system along with developing cancer later in life.
Specific Types:
Bone Marrow Syndrome/Hematopoietic Syndrome: Can be developed inbetween 0.3 and 0.7 GYs, during the first stage victims experience a loss of appetite and nausea along with vomiting, this can occur minutes after the initial exposure and can last from a couple minutes to several days. During the second stage victims will feel relatively fine despite their condition worsening via the degradation of their bone marrow, this lasts for one to six weeks. During the third stage victims experience loss of appetite, nausea, fever and general emotional misery, this is when the most deaths occur due to the factors of infections and hemorrhages, the more radiation the victim is exposed to the more likely the victim is to die. During stage four the victim begins to recover or finally dies as their bone marrow regenerates or completely gives out, this stage can take a couple of weeks to three years.
Gastrointestinal Syndrome: Can be developed between 10 and 1000 GYs, during the first stage victims experience a loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and cramps, this stage occurs within a few hours of being exposed to the radiation. During the second stage victims seem to stabilize although the cells in their gastrointestinal tract and their bone marrow are dying, this stage lasts just under a week. During the third stage victims experience loss of appetite, diarrhea, fever, dehydration and general emotional misery. During stage four victims will die or recover, the most common ways that death occurs are by infection, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, victims die within two weeks of exposure. Recovery is theoretically possible but is currently unobtainable.
Cardiovascular Syndrome/Central Nervous System Syndrome: Can be developed if one is exposed to more than 50 GYs, during the first stage victims experience extreme nervousness, a sense of dread, confusion, diarrhea, loss of consciousness and burning sensations in the skin, presumably the loss of appetite is still there but I am yet to see someone directly state that as a symptom of this stage. During stage three victims may experience slight mental clarity but will worsen in a matter of an hour or less. During stage four victims will experience the previous along with convulsions, the victim will then either die or enter a coma and then die, death occurs within three days of exposure.
What can the average person do?
The first thing that someone should do if they believe themselves or someone else to be suffering from radiation poisoning is go to an emergency hospital where they will do hospital things that I have a weak grasp of, I am not a doctor. If you are however in a building with food an water that can sustain you for a long time or have pets that you refuse to leave behind the best course of action is barricading yourself inside the building including closing and locking all doors and windows, turning off air conditioners and heating units as they may bring in air from the outside, close other ways to the outside like chimneys and vents, bring everybody inside, move as far away from the outside of the building as possible by either entering an inner room or going into a basement and staying put for at least a day, in an ideal scenario you could check the news with a radio or a T.V in order to determine if it’s safe to go outside. Another course of action is going to an emergency shelter where they do emergency shelter things.
