It was easy enough for Keith to nod along at the suggestion of food. Hospital food was always terrible and if they could find something GOOD in this dump that wasn’t goo then he wasn’t about to say no to that. So, for now, he’d keep following. After all they were both in a similar spot being trapped in these damn hospital beds with EVERYONE telling them they weren’t even allowed to breathe a single breath of fresh air.

❝ You? Wanting to run drills? Clearly I’m not here and I must’ve passed out in the hallway because there’s no way that IN REALITY you’d talk to me about drills. ❞ Because he’d certainly heard enough of Lance’s complaining about them to last a lifetime.

❝ Must be nice getting to spend time with your family again though right? Of course… if just my one mom and Shiro can do enough doting over my condition I can’t imagine what it must be like to have a whole massive group of people telling me to drink my fluids and get some sleep and all that. ❞

“I KNOW, weird right?” Lance sighs, he must be SICKER than he originally thought, saying he’d RATHER DO DRILLS. “Okay,” He admitted softly, “Maybe not DRILLS, but... yknow, SOMETHING. This sitting around all day, while it’s NICE, it’s... it almost feels like I’m drifting aimlessly in space again.” His voice is soft, a serious tone to the edge of his words, when they were lost in space, trapped inside their own minds, it really took a toll on Lance, it really took a toll on ALL of them. But it left him to replay his life over and over and unable to stop the stupidly horrible things from happened as they replayed over and over. The memories, the responses, the THINGS he did to people, were horrible. And while he REGRETTED it when it happened, it made it worse to go over and rewatch it again.

Lance blinked at the others words, the mention of his FAMILY, “Oh, yeah!” He nods suddenly, chuckling softly at the others words, “Yeah, I mean, as much as I love seeing them again, it’s almost WEIRD to have them around. Asking so many questions, like asking me if I’ve been eating RIGHT.” He almost chuckles as he shakes his head slightly, they’d been with him every moment since he woke up. Until it was time to put the little ones down for a nap and for the others to get some rest and shower.

Him being away really brought all of them together.

“Tell me about it!” Lance huffs, arms crossing over his chest, “I’m not like Pidge and the others,” A slight pout pulled at his lips, he wasn’t SMART like them. Yeah sure, he pointed things out something, had a slight input that was MILDLY valuable at BEST. But to think of it? Work out EVERY scenario, sometimes there just WASN’T enough time.
