but also the name 3R shows that rudo is shit at naming.

(im a little tired of the percy time travel ones haha no offense) or like one of the gods time traveling like apollo or hermes. speaking of which ik a good apollo time travel fic from post-toa to a little bit pre-canon. its called 'A Needle In Fate' by NaturalDisaster_Deity ongoing tho with 49 chapters. its a part of a series where we see the pov of other people from the affects of the changes like how percy's first quest went with apollo stirring up shit haha.

Btw DoO is a sequel fic to 'Son of Sea Foam', a fic i would highly recommend if you like those au's where percy is in another cabin. The premise of it is basically, Big Three kids are kinda banned. Like if people thought you were a Big Three kid, you should fear for your life because they will try to kill you out of hate and fear. The fic explains it really well and the plot is honestly amazing. I'll try to avoid any major spoilers but like because people would kill Percy if they found out he's a Big Three kid, Silena ends up hiding him since she found out and is like, Silena. So he has to try and pretend to be Aphrodite's son so she will claim him and he can hide in her cabin, thereby avoiding death by angry mob.

I genuinely think there's no plot holes in this fic because that's how well thought out it is. And while I do say that and praise everything about it. I can also say that I've dropped it so many times.

Its because its honestly kinda heavy if youre like me and would enjoy more a crack taken seriously fic. Its not like its all drama and suspense or whatever genre it would fall under if it was a tv show. Like the first time I dropped it, I kept avoiding the fic in my tabs because I couldnt handle it at the time. Usually I would just get distracted by another fic and forget abt the one im currently reading but, I was avoiding SoSF on purpose yk? But i did end up reading it again after a while(try half a year) had past and i still couldnt get it out of my head. So after reading and taking major breaks in between whenever I couldnt move forward. I finished it.

And like, sometimes I still cant forget it. It was genuinely one of the best reads I had ever on ao3. Anyway, the sequel. DoO, follows after the titan war, aka set during the giants and the romans.

And honestly, it feels as good as the first, and a lot of the plot has ties with the first. There were so many plot twists I didnt see coming and I really liked how some of the characters were portrayed and explored throughout the whole series. Some things dont make sense until it does and I always love it when that happens.

(minor spoiler but im mostly being vague, so id doubt youd get what i mean here)

Like that scene with Leo, tbh i had no idea what he had to do with that whole thing, Hephestus didnt really seem to have any correlation to it except some common themes that rlly felt like a longshot. When THAT was reveal later on, it made a ton of sense and answered questions i didnt even know i was suppose to ask.

Anyway this rant was mostly me wanting to talk about the fic i always think about when those videos pop up on my phone asking 'whats the fic that change your blah blah blah smth?' and like i wanted to share my experience reading the fic. Currently on chapter 13 out of 20 on DoO. Prolly gonna take another major break.(the last time i took a break on it was legit a whole year ago)

oh and i forgot to say that i love it so much bc if that one thing had never happened then their universe would have ended exactly like canon and so many character wouldnt have suffered.

Anyway. It was hilarious to think that all that suffering and misery was the result of this one character. Whos life was so kind and caring i wouldve have ever thought that it was THEIR action that caused all that misery that they and so many of their loved ones and strangers had faced. I havent finished it so i might get a glimpse of what they felt.
