What bath bombs would you recommend?
Oooh yes!!! I love this question!! Okay so, since you’re anon I have no idea what your scent preferences, or what you want your bath bomb to do for you - so, I’m going to base this off of a few things. My personal favourite scents, and some best sellers!
Sex Bomb: Okay, so this one is a VERY popular, one of Lush’s best bombs. It’s purple and pink, with a little rose sticking out of the top (made out of rice paper). It has a perfume-y floral scent! It’s one of my favourite bombs to press.
Twilight: This is one of Lush’s signature scents (comes in a body spray, shower gel for Christmas, Sleepy body lotions & shower gels, and more). It’s a really soft, candied version of lavender if that makes sense? It’s a purple/pink bomb, with a blue insert that looks STUNNING in the water! Another one of my favourites to press.
Intergalactic: This one is probably Lush’s actual best selling bath bomb right now. It is blue, with streaks of yellow, neon pink, and white (I think??), with a glittery silver insert. It smells like mint, just straight-up eucalyptus mint. It is VERY glittery and VERY pretty in the water.
Butterball: I’m recommending this one, bc although it’s boring it is super nice!!!! It’s literally a butter ball. Filled with legit actual cocoa butter pieces/chunks it makes for a SUPER relaxing and moisturizing bath. Also smells like vanilla tonka, and comes in a bear form (Butterbear) too at Christmas!
Avobath: So, this is like a REALLY good seller. It has avocados in it, if you couldn’t tell (very softening on the skin tho). It’s just straight up green, straight press, no insert. It does smell nice tho! Basically like perfumy avocado???
Personal Recommendations:
So, I don’t really take baths so I’ll be ranking these based on how easy they are to demould/press, and also by scent!
Peachy/Aubergine: I’m going to lump these two together, but they’re just too fun. This was for the Valentine’s Day collection, and is still available. Peachy smells like peach Runts, and Aubergine smells also like candy, like maybe bottlecaps???? Peachy is v sparkly, and looks SO pretty in the factory right after it’s sprayed. Peachy is a peachy/pink ombre with a green stem and pink insert. Aubergine is shaped like an aubergine (obviously), and is purple with a green stem and blue insert.
Yellow Submarine: Probably actually should be in best seller, but this one is great for obvious reasons. This bomb is a BITCH to press, but it smells tropical (which is an unusual scent family for Lush). It is modelled after The Beatles’s Yellow Submarine in colour.
Lucky Cat: One of the new 54 bath bombs from the Celebration Collection (which I was a part of!!!)! It’s a pink glittery lucky cat and it’s SUPER cute!! I can’t really define the scent tbh. But it’s base mix is white with confetti throughout!
Blue Skies and Fluffy Cloud: Also from the Celebration Collection, it’s baby blue and white and shaped like a cloud. If you’re a Lush fan, you know this is based on the scent of the Blue Skies bubble bar. It’s a nice patchouli scent, which I personal enjoy!
Sushi: Also a Celebration bomb. It literally looks like a sushi roll. There’s a black glitter spray on the outer edge to imitate seaweed. The middle of the bomb is actually made from red Fun to look like Salmon. It’s kind of like a bubble bar and bomb in one! It has a citrusy scent to it.
Youki Hi: It kind of looks like Sakura (a white bomb, with rock candy/sugar on top), except Youki Hi is a coral-y colour with red sugar. It smells like gardenias, and is just a really pleasant scent.
