Everyday Deeds

Day 4483 - Met up with my anti-fascist mom group.

Day 4482 - Did another partial morning volunteering at the bird banding station.

Day 4481 - Left our campsite better than we found it. Did a litter walk around to check for anything from previous campers.

Day 4480 - Cloth diapers while camping felt like a huge ordeal last summer, but we've gotten the routine down pretty well now.

Day 4479 - It's our first camping trip of the season! Did some meal prep at home so we didn't need to bring as many pre-pacakaged foods.

Day 4478 - My mom group is looking to be better allies toward immigrants in our community, many of whom speak Portuguese, so I'm putting in effort to learn a little.

Day 4477 - Did another partial morning volunteering at the bird banding station. Highlight was processing my first savannah sparrow!

Day 4476 - Did a partial volunteer morning at the banding station before work. Highlight was extracting my first black-and-white warbler.

Day 4475 - Attended a training to keep my piping plover monitoring skills up to snuff.

Day 4474 - I'm really enjoying my growing community of mom friends and the support of all the other moms in my extended family. I sent and received a lot of lovely messages for Mother's Day today, tying us all further together. <3

Day 4473 - Volunteered at the bird banding station. As usual, it's catbirds all the day down!

Day 4472 - I love my yard "weeds"! We're leaving the dandelions and other flowers alone and putting off mowing for now.

Day 4471 - I'm getting tapped in to help with some infrequent piping plover monitoring to support Town projects at work. It's nice to dust off the old skills!

Day 4470 - I joined a call with one of the community activisits behind passing a bylaw restricting ICE access in a nearby town to learn about their process.

Day 4469 - Another meeting with my anti-fascist mom group.

Day 4468 - Made a donation to the Black Mama's Bail Out fund in honor of Mother's Day.

Day 4467 - My cousin's birthday was this weekend and he's recently gotten into Pokemon cards, so I went through my childhood collection and and passed some on to the next generation!
